The heading could even be BRFC v BRFC.
Tell you what I'm sick of googling BRFC and Bristol continually coming up before Blackburn. God only knows how but it even happened when we were in the Prem!
Anyway to ease the rovers v rovers confusion one team wears blue and white halves whilst the other wears an equally splendid blue and white quarters.
Something deep in the depths of my sub conscious (probably an old Jimmy Hill football annual) is telling me that Bristol Rovers were formed as a tribute to the real Rovers. No doubt someone will either confirm or deny my hunch. I must say at this point that wiki reveals they started out under the rather memorable name of 'The Black Arabs'! Quite a co-incidence given that their present owner is arabic! To avoid continuing confusion maybe we should begin a campaign to get them to revert to their original name. Should give the ancient G&T brigade at the FA a fit of the vapours!
Interesting 'point' to note and I've probably doomed it to be a goal less affair but to date Bristol Rovers haven't played out a draw of any kind in the league to date this season. In fact since a rather splendid 6-0 away victory at Northampton in early October they've lost all but one match since in both league and cup. On the other side of the coin which maybe constitutes a complacency warning, they only lost to a late injury time goal to Scunny who are the divisions current form team.
Anyway enough of that..... over to you Barmitzvah Boy.
