There really shouldn't be ANY religious schooling if integration is to be anything more than some wet liberal pipe dream.

However I'm rather comfortable in the knowledge that that site used to also be home to an abbatoir and wholesale pork butchers business. The bloody ground will be forever steeped in pigs blood!

Does that make me a bad person? :imp:

Only 3 months ago - bid for £100 million to support more integration in Blackburn. Who do they think they are fooling?

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.u...00million___39_controlling_migration_fund___/
Speak mealy mouthed words and do all the reports that they want but there will be no solution to this whilst the religion of Islam is being instilled daily into the minds of impressionable infants and their ignorant parents. The world and it's mother must surely know by now that Islam is intolerant of other religions. (Yet here we are granting permission for yet another Islamic school in the borough.) Unsurprisingly there is no mention of that factor anywhere in that report is there?
As this nation inches ever closer to civil war the telescope is firmly placed on the eye patch again by those in authority.

These excerpts from Powell's speech in '68 will surely come back to haunt our politicians in the future..
The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature.
Above all, people are disposed to mistake predicting troubles for causing troubles and even for desiring troubles: "If only," they love to think, "if only people wouldn't talk about it, it probably wouldn't happen."
At all events, the discussion of future grave but, with effort now, avoidable evils is the most unpopular and at the same time the most necessary occupation for the politician. Those who knowingly shirk it deserve, and not infrequently receive, the curses of those who come after.

I don't know the details but for a teacher of Islamic scriptures I'd imagine that he'd see no wrong in his activities.

This one Abbey I think

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-42766211

Agree with Chuka for once, he is spot on, this is a big problem being swept under the carpet.
You are right of course, the Mayor of Maryborough in Australia had an interesting view on intergration in 2015

MAYOR OF MARYBOROUGH HAS REFUSED TO REMOVE PORK FROM THEIR SCHOOLS’
CAFETERIA MENUS AND EXPLAINS WHY:

Muslim parents demanded the abolition of pork in all the school canteens of Maryborough.

The Mayor of Maryborough has refused, and the town clerk sent a note to all
parents to explain why.

"Muslims must understand that they have to adapt to Australia , its customs, its traditions,
and its way of life, because that's where they chose to immigrate.

"Muslims must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in Australia.

"They must understand that it is for them to change their lifestyle, not the Australians who, so generously welcomed them.

"Australians are neither racist nor xenophobic. Australia accepted many immigrants before Muslims showed up (whereas the reverse is not true, in that Muslim states do not accept non-Muslim immigrants).

"Just like other nations, Australians are not willing to give up their identity or their culture.

"And, since Australia is a land of welcome, it's not the Mayor of Maryborough who welcomes foreigners, but the Australian people as a whole.

"Finally, they must understand that in Australia with its Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees,
churches and religious festivals, religion must remain in the private domain."
Australia is absolutely right to refuse any concessions to Islam and Sharia.

"For Muslims who disagree with secularism and do not feel comfortable in Australia, there are 57 beautiful
Muslim countries in the world, most of them under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in accordance with Sharia.

"If you left your country for Australia, and not for other Muslim countries, it is because you have considered that life is better in Australia than elsewhere. We will not let you drag Australia down to the level of those 57 countries."

"Ask yourself this question - just once: "Why is it better here in Australia than where you came from?"

"A canteen with pork on the menu is not the problem – it is part of the answer."

If you came to Australia with the idea that you will displace us with your prolific propagation and eventually take over the country, you should pack up and go back to the country you came from. We have no room here for you or your ideology.

Just watched the Panorama prog about Blackburn, one of the main points at the start was that segregation over the last 10 years has increased but no reason as to why.
Bloody obvious why when you consider that the % of the population in the Asian head count has risen significantly.

So... Panorama. Nowt we don't know and the symbolic meeting on the bridge was ludicrous, irrelevant and tbh rather embarrassing.

Refusing to be interviewed or make comment on Panorama were the UK Govt, the Leader of BwD Council and the "Rt Hon" (kinell!) Kate Hollern MP! Abdication of responsibility or what? I'll quote someone from half a century ago when action should have been taken and who was NOT afraid to make public comment but sadly paid the penalty with the effective ending of his political career.

That final sentence condemns the ones above electing to remain silent far better than I could ever do. Dunno about anybody else but I seriously doubt our current MP could ever construct a passage of that quality should her very life depend on it.

You only need to research her background or talk to her to know that is the truth Drog

How did she get nominated? The very few times I have heard her she is incoherent, I wonder if the Labour Party try and keep her off the telly? Is she one of Corbyn’s girls, I expect she will be given a cushy role for being good - Minister of Comedy perhaps.

She did a deal with the muslim councillors. Effectively 'let me stand unopposed to replace Jack Straw as BBurn MP and you people can have control of certain sections of the council'. Odds on her successor will be a muslim.
