Not surprising.... but they need to consider that he's playing with better players around him at the Rovers. :p

Hmmm speaking of Shearer I guess one factor we do need to bear in mind is that once a geordie, always a geordie.

AL why do you doubt TM?
I'm not sure whether or not you are serious but in case you are sometimes his team selections and substitutions can be baffling and occasionally over defensive and we finish up hanging on to one goal leads for long periods.

I think some rovers fans need to see what he has done for this club,we were at his lowest ebb when we took over, just got rid off coil,if the loons of pune had done it at Xmas he would have saved us last season.
The turn around this season has been great, let's embrace this little bit of success and give TM the benifit of the doubt,he ain't keen,he ain't coil and he ain't Appleton or Bowyer.

He's not Hughes either but we'll put up with what we've got for now.

He's the best manager that we could have hoped for. He obviously commands respect from his players and has instilled discipline and commitment into the squad. If he was a master tactician to boot then it's pretty certain that he'd be managing elsewhere in a higher division.

Yep you can't expect a Mark Hughes to join a bottom off the Chumpionship club,I don't like the phrase ,we'll put up with what we got for now,Al.
Does that mean when we're in the Chumpionship next season,if we're in the bottom 6 after 10 games you will be calling for his head.?

Football management requires many talents and no one person since Fergie can be expected to be strong in all of them. So what I can never understand is why a good Manager who knows that he isn't the best tactically doesn't get a strong tactician in as his No 2 or No 3.

Sorry if you don't like my phraseology but what I mean is that I think that he is an OK manager for this division (and probably for the Championship) but you have to admit that he is not a tactical genius and some of his team selections and substitutions are baffling. He does however appear to have a good eye for spotting talent on the cheap, which is a big plus for him.

I will hark back to pre season when he said it's a squad game in this Division and we have rotated well.
I'm like the rest and pick my team, but at the end of the day TM is doing something right.
