We'll see about that Abbey. I saw nothing in the Rovers under him to ever make me want him back.

Lambert (you knew that of course). If he ever dreams that he could reach Allardyce's level of achievement at the top level he'd better wake up and apologise.

Feck me, Aye I'd be replacing Mark Hughes with Paul Lambert. I'll lay lincoln odds that we'll be going to The Victoria Ground?, Britannia Stadium? or whatever it's now called next season. Why, why, why Delilah hahaha!

erm even ive got the same achievments as sam ....NOWT.
Comparing lamberts and zzzams top flight career, do you really want to go there?
ones a champions league WINNER, ones won Scottish cups, ones a uefa cup runner up, ones in his nations hall of fame and one who has no pedigree whatsoever.
so results mean has a player mr L dumps all over mr hoof and as a manager none as won diddly squat.

Playing career is largely irrelevant to managerial ability as you well know Abbey. Stop clutching at any straw you might find to discredit Allardyces managerial record cos it will only come around to bite you on the arse again and comparing him to Paul Lambert is just asking for trouble. I feel that your pride is clouding your judgement.

? Not sure of your message there Abbey.

Biggest issue with Lambert (apart from his dreadful performance at the Rovers! Hell we sacked a better manager rem) was him turning the Burnley job down which ultimately led to them getting Dyche.:(

As far as I am concerned Lambert is another MacLaren / Roy Keane / Brian Robson type who keep turning up in decent jobs. I can only assume that he is a good interviewer.

Without checking didn't Bowyer sign all 3 of those?

Here are Lamberts imports....
"They took Jordi Gomez and Danny Graham on loan from Sunderland, Elliott Bennett from Norwich, Tony Watt from Charlton and Matt Grimes from Swansea, while Simeon Jackson and Elliott Ward joined on permanent deals."
Since last spring when he seemed to suddenly 'come to' I've no problems with Bennett. Nor with Graham who became permanent (but fat) after Lambert left. I'd put their improvements this season down to the influence of Tony Mowbray tbh.
The rest were just bloody awful signings.

Bowyer was at fault (as I said frequently at the time) for not making King first choice striker that's for sure. It was so obvious that I convinced myself that Bowyer was under orders to play Rhodes in the league at every opportunity.

However his overall record was pretty damned good for BRFC and his sacking imo caused by not being allowed to replace the leavers because of the embargo placed by the FFP.

From the LT....
GARY Bowyer has paid fees for eight players since he was appointed Blackburn Rovers boss in May 2013. Of those eight only Alex Marrow, who returned from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed amount, could be deemed a bad investment.
The rest – Rudy Gestede, Craig Conway, Tom Cairney, Ben Marshall, Shane Duffy, Corry Evans and Jason Steele – have added value to the playing squad and to the balance sheet.
But, for the time being at least, Bowyer is prevented from finding another £200,000 Gestede or a £100,000 Conway by the constraints of the FFP.

Lambert's team has already done one thing allardyces team hasn't done in 2018 so far ...they have had a shot on target.
Talking to a toffee today at a meeting and allardyce is hated at Everton and most fans want rid. They have nicknamed him The Relic .

Good. I hope he leaves then. Nothing like a dose of reality is there? Especially to the team that has played longer in the top division than any other and takes membership of the elite for granted.

To be fair I feel as though the likes of Everton, Newcastle and West Ham have at least some justification for turning their noses up at Allardyce. All can fill out 50,000 stadiums at fairly hefty ticket prices and as such all should expect to be in the PL top 10. To put it into stark reality, West Ham currently have the 7th highest attendances and charge the 10th most for tickets in EUROPE.

Rovers are light years from that, shouldn't even expect to be in the Premier League and our fans should have worshipped Allardyce. But that's what delusion does for you, the biggest black lining to the silver cloud of winning the Premier League was the farcically high expectation levels its bestowed on our fanbase ever since.

Maybe but I'd like to see how he'd perform at a decent sized club that isn't totally strapped for cash and shows a little patience. He really did a sterling job at Bolton and at one stage got em playing football of real quality.

Chelsea are a bunch of divers! Official! And proven now!

That little italian bugger was moaning about the ref's decision on Willian's dive in the box but I never saw him comment on Pedro's! That was a proper MGP'er. Did anybody else? Morata too and he even completed a notable first by making a square screen sized move with his fingers to request a video review.
Tossers

The Sorcerer ...

And his apprentice

wtf....
