Not sure where he is going to fit in. He appears to play in the same position as Dack and I hope that doesn't mean that Dack is going to Norwich. He's my favourite player at the moment. Incidentally according to wiki, Payne is only 5ft 5". Maybe he'll slot in next to Smallwood in midfield. That would make a very attacking team. Maybe too attacking.

Armstrong looks a good signing. 20 goals in this league 2 years ago, at the age of 18 and for a presumably struggling Coventry. Has struggled since then to get goals in the Championship but still only young and Newcastle must rate him as they're still unwilling to sell.

Dack needs to be quickly introduced to some of the lovely girls that Blackburn, Darwen, Ossy and Accy have to offer. He will soon decide to stay o_O

I did like what I saw of him tbh. He looked enthusiastic, a handfull and well up for the scrap.

If he doesn't want to come fuck him. I'd sooner we sign a proper winger with a bit of pace and Williams is doing OK. If he get's an injury we will have to manage. With Lenihan to come back we aren't short of defenders as well as the youngsters.

Right Alan that is what I'm thinking however maybe he is just commited and does not want to leave at this point? We can't read his mind however the fact he is out of contract at the end of the season makes me think he is hanging on for something better or will take his chances in the summer.

If he does not sign this week then walk away.

Might that be an approx £150,000 signing on fee (20% to his agent) in summer? With poor little Fleetwood who improved him as a player getting nowt! I guess if we want him we'll have to stump up a backhander for him, just like Chelsea must have done with Ross Barkley. To do that Mowbray has to judge whether or not we can get a million plus for him in 12 months time or so.
It all makes that badge kissing malarky appear rather sour doesn't it? Don't you just hate agents?

Yes I do and the refusal to accept them is the one thing that I respect the Oystons for.

Personally disagree with that general approach. If managers/players are snapping your hand off before even getting pitched to, its a good sign nobody else wants them and by implication they're no good. The only group competing for our acquisition of the likes of Owen Coyle and Wes Brown were the local circus.

If someone doesn't want to come, persuade them. The one's we had to persuade are likely to be the ones who'll improve us.

Don't agree. Sounds to me like he would only regard us as a stepping stone anyway. Don't need that type of player. Give him a deadline to sign and then move on quickly. It's 17th Jan already and the games for the rest of the season are moving on.
