8 years from FMC to Prem title and we've had 7 years of this shit.

We went up fast but we've come down quicker.

It feels like its soooooooooooooo much longer!!
I suppose I hoped things were going to work out (whilst being very sceptical/ one of the 52% I wasn't) The major alarms rang at Big Sams removal but the next chapter confirmed the worst. From there the spiral has been alarming and frustrating and sad in equal measure

I wonder how many Dingles voted. Burnley fans will be writing their Christmas Card envelopes now ready for posting:

Missi Row
Venky Kingdum Towwers

They were twinned with Trelleborgs in '94 but I'd imagine that will have been replaced with Pune now. I wonder if they've been arranging civic delegations and package holidays there?

I hated (as I still do) the Walker family influenced trust so much that my judgement was clearly obscured. On the day the takeover was finalised I didn't say they would be a guaranteed success but I then refused to publicly question their initial decisions. When Kean was appointed though I admittedly endorsed it (despite my doubts that existed deep down) though for the first few days I didn't expect him to become full time manager. I also genuinely thought initially Kean came across as decent and likable (I wasn't the only one and after the Liverpool game he was being praised by many) so maybe I should question my own judgement of character. Perhaps I saw what I wanted to see. To be fair he fooled enough press people too (not just Anderson's stooges even people like Dalglish defended him though by that point he was a hate figure) so several people were taken in by him.

I won't deny that I was determined for the takeover to be a success having wanted one for so long and my ego couldn't stand anything less. Especially anything that would make the Walker family influenced trust look better when as far as I'm concerned a bad owner is a bad owner. Especially when they screw over someone who provided everything for the selfish scum and they treat his club with zero regard. My opinion on the previous owners and my theories about family interference proved to be even more justified and accurate. Look at Liegard he led the hate campaign against me claiming the family had no input whatsoever and now he's admitting the family interfered in the sale process. Just as they interfered from the second Jack died.

Saint John and Finn endorsed the deal so that's probably what a lot of fans based it on. To be so shocked by the decision to sack Allardyce comes across naive to me. Maybe that's why they kept snakes like Agnew around for so long. There had been some rumours he could be sacked so it didn't come completely out of left field so to speak.

Based on the Walker Trust raking in about £40m on transfer fees and flirting with selling to fraudsters like Ali Syed over the previous couple of years.
First rule of business.... buy at the bottom, sell at the top.

Basically Vinjay that reads that if you had been in the hot seat you would have screwed up too.
I got called from pillar to post on BRFCS for expressing doubt regarding the takeover and the individuals involved.

I wouldn't have screwed things up as badly as Venkys did that's for bloody certain. There would have been a plan B certainly where Maradona was concerned. Remember when I proposed the idea it was in the summer so I'm not sure what I would have done in December 2010. I said at the time of takeover I was fine with Allardyce staying until end of season though that disgraceful result at OT changed my mind somewhat.

At least you had lots of support besides the abuse. Back then (especially in 05-07) I had next to nothing (besides EIT and Revidge) though people like Den changed their viewpoint later on. Certainly by 08/09.

I wouldn't have brought in any old nutcase if Maradona said no. Maradona would have been so outrageous and generated such publicity he would have been an exceptional exception. If the first couple of results were dreadful I would have quickly surrounded him with high maintenance coaching staff to try and make it work. If he became offended by that or results remained poor I would have pulled the trigger early. Of course in the summer I never actually believed he would be linked 4 months later. Funnily enough some people who normally wouldn't have creative ideas (and usually have fairly typical views) actually admitted they were excited when Maradona was linked. They couldn't help it.

Yeah I think in the past he worked as a disabled kids coach or something else sinister and evil. Maybe he's coaching at the indoor centre so probably be rumors of him being 1st team coach by next week.
