Can't say I'm in mourning too.

My point is that McGuinness could have got to this point without murder.

Tony Blair saying he (McGuiness) will be remembered as a man of peace, why does Tony Blair not just crawl back under his stone

Indeed. I strongly suspect he's suffering some form of self delusion and sees himself as the second coming.

On the day Martin McGuinness died, just remember that he was lucky. He wasn't tarred and feathered for who he loved. He was never forced to kneel in a dark room, with a bag over his head, a pistol pressed against his head. He won't be buried in an anonymous field, with not a single soul knowing if he was dead or his location. He won't be ripped apart or crippled by an explosive device hidden in a bin in front of a shop or a bag deposited next to a pub. He wasn't shot in the street, or with work colleagues forced up against the side of a van. He was lucky enough to die without being forced to suffer these inhumanities.

Please spare a thought for all those who were victims of the violence he sanctioned.

Correct Nick. One doesn't get to his position without much blood on his hands of the sort you have mentioned. He's been an evil murdering bastard and that's that. Tony Bliar stating that he'll be a remembered as a man of peace is just so sickening and an insult to the people whose murder he either carried out or ordered!

I remember Earl Louis Mountbatten. A real hero and gentleman murdered by this scum. I could never forgive them for that.

The BBC is deservedly copping criticism for their reporting of this issue. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4334220/BBC-accused-fawning-coverage-McGuiness-s-death.html

However reading the other site I find myself agreeing with Jimmk2 ffs!! He and AS are being attacked by wet behind the ear know nowt kids who think McGuiness was some sort of saintly figure. As Tebbitt says he only did that once he knew the IRA was beaten and the British had enough evidence to convict him of terrorism and murder.
Pretty obvious with all gthe talk of Bloody Sunday that it was his action with a Thompson sub machine gun who sparked the killings. https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2000/apr/07/bloodysunday.northernireland

Young people need to consider how in 20/30 years time they will feel when their own kids will be stupid enough to defend the actions of the likes of today's terrrorists, the Bataclan mob, Jihadi John etc .

It shows the depth that the IRA corruptness and evil runs when Bill Clinton not only shows up but speaks at the funeral of one satans diciples

I rem at the height of the troubles there was massive support for the IRA in the US and particularly in the North East triangle between Boston, Chicago and NY. Huge amounts raised by Noraid (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NORAID) to fund the terrorists too by Americans who thought themselves distanced from such events. That is until the Boston marathon and the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers forced them to look inward at their own actions and their funding of 'noble' causes a little more. I wonder how it would go down over the pond should the Queen attend a memorial service to Osama Bin Laden one day?

Brilliant post and reason enough you were missed at 'the other place'

Hmm. Not missed enough Nick, obviously not everyone appreciated my scribblings on there. It's why I put a posting ban on them. I wouldn't bet that there are a good few IRA sympathisers over there too.
