Really? That's exactly how I'd describe Steve Kean.
Would I be correct in thinking that you rejoiced in seeing Allardyce sacked and gave Kean a very warm welcome back then?

Yep I rejoiced when big fat Sam got the bullet because he's a cheat, kean I'd never heard of him.
'Better the Devil you know'. 'Look before you leap'. Look after the first cos the next might be worse'

Still rejoicing are you waggy? Grass isn't always greener is it? As far as managerial ability (and that is what counts most) Allardyce is still in big demand in the Premier League as every season proves and which Everton are currently proving. In contrast Kean's just been binned off from some 3rd world League that's about the equivalent of the North west Counties.... if that, whilst Paul Ince has disappeared form football management altogether. Both are quite obviously now deemed persona non gratis by club Chairman.
I don't know why all you Allardyce haters continue to be so stubborn when faced with the facts. Is it so difficult to admit that you goofed both in trying to hound him out of Ewood and even stopping him coming in in the first place with that daft facebook campaign that simply paved the way for the clueless Ince. I cannot imagine what was going through John Williams mind at that time. He was there to keep a small club at the top table and not win a popularity contest.
Rem you can influence the future (adversely in this case... and almost criminally so) but no matter what you do you cannot rewrite the history books.

ENOUGH OF BLOODY ALLARDYCE!!!!!
I mentioned both Allardyce and Kean Vinjay yet you appear to hold a massive grudge ONLY against Allardyce. Now that is definitely bloody weird! In fact unbelievably so!

Abbey Re: Allardyce ..... instead of 'liking' every sniping post from the defiant losers who were against Allardyce at BRFC you'd be much better advised to brush it all under the carpet and lick your wounds in private.:p

No wounds to lick ...still glad he was potted . If only they had appointed a REAL manager at the time and not a corruption mongrel

Are you sure Abbs? Really sure? As I said to waggy... you should always always look before you leap. Allardyce was and still is a REAL top Manager. Arguably one of the top 6 Managerial records in the Prem history. What do you reckon the odds of little old BRFC attracting a better one at that time? Every alternative suggestion back then has proven to be not up to the mark. All those REAL managers Jol, Redknapp (wouldn't have come here anyway), Laudrup, Ten Cate, Coyle (Yes bloody Coyle was mentioned) have all bombed since whilst your declared favourite if my memory serves me correctly, Ian Holloway has moved around various clubs in the lower leagues and is now doing very little of note at QPR.

Just as an aside BB I went to two 'Audiences with Big Sam soon after he was appointed and he spoke sense on every issue. Very interesting chap and a real 'thinker' regarding the modern game.

I don't care if people want to take digs at Kean and there's no tedious debate where he's concerned. How dare you say I don't hold a grudge. What's weird is you thinking firing Sam was disgraceful yet you think selling off Brockhall would be understandable. You seem to like Sam more than Jack Walker and I'm tired of it.

Your post construction suggests that you rate Allardyce worse than that crook that succeeded him. There wouldn't be any talk of selling Brockhall at all if the Indian fools had kept Allardyce in control and not listened to Anderson dripping his poison in their ears.

btw Vinjay you liked Abbeys post. I've revealed that his preferred choice as a REAL manager was Holloway. Who was yours? Be honest.;)

I've said he's a decent manager who I didn't mind being around while the Walker family influenced trust were still here. Everton could do better though even in their current state with that squad.

Got nothing to do with "what if" scenarios over Brockhall. You said it would be "understandable" and Allardyce has sod all to do with that. Like I've said there's less to say about Kean as pretty much everyone hated him and there's no debate.

Far as I'm concerned with Allardyce there's no debate either. I didn't like him and the way he carried himself like Jack Walker's club was beneath him. Club could have done better. End of. I'm not discussing that man again.

Its Blackburn Rovers not Samallardyce Rovers.

I didn't see your edit so one further remark. Admittedly in the summer of 2010 I proposed Maradona for reasons already outlined. That was just so sensational and outrageous you could overlook his faults. That's an exception to what my guidelines would have been. Who would have been my 2nd choice? I'm not sure it certainly wouldn't have been Holloway though. In Dec 2010 would I have wanted Maradona then? While I responded well to the rumour that ironically came up (and believed me I never thought in my wildest imagination my remarks in the summer would actually lead to anything) I'm not sure I would have brought him in at that point. If he had come in during the summer (remember Syed hadn't been exposed until that Goldberg interview) then the situation wouldn't have been irreversible. It wasn't with Allardyce even Kean managed to just about keep that squad up. Sadly he wasn't fired then and we know what happened.

Who did I want in summer 08? Ten Cate. Maybe that wouldn't have worked out considering what he's done since. Who did I want in Dec 08? Mancini. Apparently he applied. That's not because I ever thought Allardyce was useless but because Mancini was much better and suited my vision far more. I was incensed by the club turning him down and sent an angry email to Williams saying so though he will be receiving a lot more today that's for sure. I didn't have a crystal ball by the way so what later happened at Man City has nothing to do with it.

That was after ke:n if I remember....there were managers like Schuster, Cappello etc interested.
What I still can't get my head around is why the Scummers n Anderson got rid of the biggest dodgy manager in England

You waste your time Drog. Some people are so fixed in their opinions that they ignore all reasonable arguments to change their minds.

Mangerial record as in matches in charge. Until Leicester only the big guns who spend gazillions ever win anything and Allardyce has never been in charge of one of those. You don't stick around all those years in the Prem without having ability. No one else has that's for sure.
