Didn't take the public long to turn on Churchill did it waggy? Just 8 weeks after the end of the war to be precise. History does always tend to repeat itself.

No comparison there obviously, merely using the public turning on Churchill as an example of the fickle nature of folk in general. What a great leader he was claimed to be when they were in the shit but once they were safe he was chucked onto the scrap heap.

Up in Scotland for the weekend and was reading the Scottish edition of the Times earlier.
In the football section there was an article on our old friend Owen Coyle.
He has led Ross County to the foot of the Scottish Prem and they are without a win in 12 matches but he was quoted as saying “if we can get a win against Rangers on Sunday I think it could be the turning point of our season”
The article was obviously written by a pal as it went on to say he was known for playing stylish football wherever he has been manager, “especially at Burnley who he took to the Premier League”.
I laughed whilst reading the article until I realised the only one really laughing is that under talented shyster, taking pay off after pay off and dragging down one club after another
Hope Rangers get a hatful tomorrow...

Really? So by your yardstick that should be taxi for Mowbray too then? Best squad in the division and beaten by lowly Plymouth v Everton's weak squad beaten by Arsenals golden boys?

Just typical Allardyce, isn't it?

On the back of a good win against Leicester, he plays a defeatist, ultra-defensive side at the Emirates and gets stuffed before half-time. Everton fans have already had enough.
Isn't that typical most clubs? There's not many go to the Emirates with the plan to play Arsenal off the park. He said in his post match interview he was copying Swansea's successful approach. Didn't work but there ya go.

To be honest I can understand Everton or even West Ham fans demanding more. But our fans? 3 points from 2 games against 8th and 6th? Thanks very much. But nah, our fans wanted Holloway, Coyle or Laudrup instead.

currently 4-1 to Watford against Chelsea..add Bournemouth and it shows what playing footy against anyone will do. Imagine if allardyce had a pair of bollocks , instead of dropping his trollies and being dry bummed.
it was said on here you cant play footy against the big boys ...well this week has proved that's a load of balls.
