Bury 56% possession according to BBC. We seem to do better when the opposition are pressing. Have we learned to score on the break. Good for away matches if we have.

Good win for the Rovers and England wallop the Aussies 30 - 6 , in an incredibly tight game , despite the score

I’ll call that a super Saturday

A very poor game but of football with the 3 goals being the only items of note. We were second to the ball far too often and still keep losing possession. There is still much improvement needed.

The result today does nothing to paper over the many cracks.

Missed just about all of this as I was driving in Wales. Please tell me if my impression is incorrect but the general impression that I am receiving is that the score was a little flattering and that Bury were very poor. If so it's yet again some cause for concern. Whilst no team has a divine right to win every game it seems to me that with our squad which might constitute the tag of the 3rd division 'All Stars' that we are continuing to come up a little short of what is required.

Correct Drog. Bury started with all guns blazing for the first 15 mins and came close twice, one of which was well saved by Raya.

Apart from Dack, and Antonsson’s brilliant finishing we were poor. The difference was that Bury were dreadful. I felt sorry for their loyal fans watching that dross served up most weeks.

Where did you get to get to in Wales?

Brecon yesterday and overnight and this morning we stopped at Hay on Wye which is a lovely little 'book' town with literally  a dozen book shops in a 100 yards interspersed with lots if individual curiosity shops. Twinned with ....wait for it.... Timbuctoo! One shop sold pens and quills and I imagined with a wand store in the back! Hay on Wye is in deepest Wales and I didn't see a Welsh person, everybody spoke with a home counties arty farty accent like Hinge and Brackett. In fact the entire place appeared to be full of Wizarding folk. It was more like Diagon Alley than errr well.... Diagon Alley!

Lovely part of the World. Have you tried the West Coast of Wales? I stop every year near Aberaeron at this place (about 5 Miles inland): www.parc-yr-hebog.co.uk in the Barn, it even has a sauna to get all nice and steamy. Aberaeron is a lovely coastal port village with two excellent restaurants. I guess you are a man of refinement so it will be reet up your street as they say.

tbh BB I can't rem the last time I had a package holiday overseas it was so long ago. We tend to holiday in the uk now the kids have flit the nest although I do enjoy the occasional european 3/4 day city breaks (Lisbon in spring) plus an annual golfing break. I can't rem the last time that I was away for longer than a week. Brecon was a friends wedding (you are right the countryside around there is beautiful) and I stayed for a long weekend with 10 others in a large 6 bedroomed house in Anglesey a fortnight ago for another friends 60th birthday celebration. Dined in the Marram Grass restaurant too.

As for farm cottage breaks / chalets / statics they are OK but I can't really see the point given that where I live is usually much better in every aspect (the tide goes out too far by about 20 miles though:rolleyes:). Must say I do fancy installing a good sauna though.
