The season has been concluded now in disappointing fashion but can I please request the members to keep up the posting nonetheless? The number of active members appears to me to be reducing and it is important to me, and I have no doubt to some others, not to let it begin to fizzle out from complacency. I for one am very interested in your views on many subjects so please keep the site ticking over in the close season guys.

Disappointing fashion Al? A mid table finish not too far behind a play off berth isn't too disappointing to me given that our top scorer was injured half way through the season and the other 3 or 4 were misfiring dreadfully. Full marks to Armstrong for stepping up and scoring the goals he did but relying on just one striker never works and certainly not for clubs with aspirations to be in the promotion frame. Even striker supreme Shearer was just part (granted a major one) of the SAS with his 34 goals to Sutty's 15, whilst our promotion season 3 years back featured 3 players with 14 or more goals.
btw If anybody has any ideas why Brereton and Gallagher have suddenly looked very different prospects I'd be interested to hear them.
