Never seen him but I'd imagine that he'll take Nuttall's place on the bench and keep pressure on Graham and Samuel to perform. Also I think Conway will start on the left on Sat Al.

Edit.... Just seen that youtube clip and tbh he looks less of a centre forward and more of an inside forward like Bradley Dack. I still think he'll relegate Nuttall out of the squad . Good move if he is a 'Dack' type because with Chapman nowhere near to a return we have only Dack with any creativity and I've been on pins every time Dack has been tackled or put a challenge in for fear of him getting injured.

By they, you mean all the scouts, coaches and managers involved in the decision-making process are stupid? In Lowe’s case where he’s spent his entire career playing above the level we’re currently at that’d be maybe 100 people, in Feeney’s case taking him to and keeping him at Cardiff about 5-10. All professionals, all paid for their opinion on football.

Whereas nobody would pay us jack for our opinions, and rightly so. 6 months ago I listed 4 managers we should get instead of Mowbray and all their clubs are below us in the league. 1 month ago you were banging (or more like obliterating) the drum for Graham out Nuttall in and Graham’s been great while Nuttall’s been woeful ever since.

We’re all wrong on here constantly. I just find it strange how little that’s considered for views that so vastly contradict what the professionals think.
I'd prefer 'occasionally' rather than constantly bwh!

However you are quite correct in your opinion on some fans. Re: my post above (about 6 back from here). There is a malaise amongst many fans who for some reason select a player for constant hate treatment and then refuse to give credit should that players form improve. I put it down to some human failing of not being able to say 'Sorry I'll admit that I've been wrong about him all along' . It's not a trait that I can either admire or condone.

Can I be a bit cheeky and say that I've never seen that in one of your posts either Drog.:p

Having seen that clip too you appear to be spot on. It's difficult to fit him and Dack in the same team but if he is as good as Dack you can let one of them run himself into the ground then sub him or as you say if Dack is injured this lad looks a shoe in. Having said that I've seen clips before. The only time I would have the two of them on together is if you are playing against a very weak team and you want to pile on the goals. Conway at the moment looks to be the only guy we can play on the left but that is a concern because I think we have had the best of him unless we can sign a winger before Saturday.
It's such an important game and I'm worried about midfield if both Whittingham, who played well last time out, and Evans, are both injured. Travis played OK there in the cup but it is too big of a match to blood him in. I don't know the answer.

I was and still am hoping that Rovers can acquire a commanding centre half who is dominant in the air . I wasn't overly excited with the signing of Downing, not a bad defender , decent on the floor but a bit lightweight for this division and doesn’t impress me when he goes up for the aerial challenges .

Don’t know anything about Armstrong other than the feedback on here . An injury to Dack could banjax our pursuit of the top two , so perhaps Mowbray sees him as a bit of insurance .

Yeah the constantly was a bit of an exaggeration to make my point. Compared to the "You're shit Ward" knuckle-draggers, I'd say we all represent the scholarly end of football supporters!

Seems to me the longer a player is here, the more often they come in for criticism. Jason Lowe, Aaron Mokoena, Jason Roberts, all played over 100 games for the club and yet are amongst the most criticised Rovers players ever. Give me their contribution any day over the hundreds of shiny new toys that have passed through the club in that time, wowing fans to begin with and ending up contributing very little.

The longer a player sticks around to earn loyalty, the less they get. And then it strangely reverses when they've been around for even longer and they finally start getting some appreciation again (e.g. Emerton, Wilcox, Pedersen).

Either
1. Maybe why we've signed Armstrong.
or
2. Rem the Rhodes saga? If venkys don't want anyone to leave they don't leave.

Take your pick.

Anyway if you want a conspiracy theory, Craig Short was watching the Scunthorpe match from the JW Upper and not the Directors box where most scouts seem to congregate.
Is he a Scunthorpe supporter?
Is he a BRFC supporter?
Google reveals that he is on the coaching staff at Derby County.

I have never asserted myself as a soccer (football) expert. My qualifications are limited to coaching and refereeing through the U14 level over the last decade or so. In my limited and inexpert opinion (while posting under the influence) we need to strengthen the back line and find a destroyer in the midfield. If that happens, we can crush anyone at this level and maybe the next. Oh, and don’t let Dack or Mulgrew leave.

A million or two should do it at this level. That’s my amateur opinion and contribution to this topic.

And Tony Mowbray is doing an excellent job. I hope the owners are following his advice, whatever it may be.
