I certainly wouldn't and Evans certainly isn't one of my higher rated players. Whittingham hasn't been the best performer this season (not that I've scrutinised every game in minute detail) but would certainly rather have him than Lowe. His career has been superior to Lowe's in every sense. All Lowe has ever brought to football clubs is misery and failure. You ask how people can "hate" someone they don't personally know so much? Rather than seeing our views for what they are which in regards to Lowe have been explained both simply and accurately.

And why can't you accept that for Lowe's critics? I've never met the guy, I bear him no ill will. Most fans are actually more forgiving of youth team products, if anything. But that doesn't change the fact that he's a mediocre player with no outstanding qualities whatsoever.

I personally struggle to accept it because 90% of Lowe criticism is delivered in a vindictive, aggressive, expletive-laden manner. That one wasn't but its a rarity even on here, never mind the vitriol that used to be snarled at him from the stands.

Even if I knew nothing about football, I'd immediately feel inclined to disagree with a viewpoint seemingly filled with personal enmity.

Much like the vitriol directed against Big Sam . It’s irrational just like it was irrational when it was directed against Jason Wilcox and our premiership winning captain Tim Sherwood. It’s almost a quid pro quo with some of our fans , they can’t seem to support the team without having a whipping boy .

I haven't abused Lowe from the stands with anything like the vitriol you describe. I can't speak for others on this thread (as I can't recall instances where they may have mentioned vitriolically abusing Lowe from the stands) but you're making all kinds of assumptions. The man was the embodiment of mediocrity how much patience do you want people to have? I don't care about his so called effort you can't just rate a player based on that. Would you accept someone from the local pub leagues if you thought they tried hard? Why don't you change your mind to OnlyOneLowe instead of that useless clogger Tugay? .

You will be saying Alan Fettis was great next.

Kean's lucky he wasn't attacked. I reckon he got off lightly especially when you consider the salary he leeched. That's what truly angers me more than anything people like that not getting their comeuppance. That's why I think even if Venkys sell it might not be much of a "fans victory" or particularly hurtful to them besides the losses they would have to write off. I guess some will be content enough just to see them go (as with Kean) but true comeuppance? Probably not.

Looks like the Oystons are getting their comeuppance to a greater extent. Apparently Father and Son have fallen out and Blackpool fans must be taking great pleasure from it. Still down to Belokon more than the fans though and if anyone thinks they had to "persuade" him to take court action they are fools.

Not only severe financial penalties imposed but the family seemingly falling apart as well. Sometimes what goes around does indeed come around. I know its vindictive to take pleasure in people's misfortune but in some cases its justified. Obviously I'm not saying my feelings towards them are anywhere near as vitriolic as Blackpool's fanbase but its quite entertaining to see their comeuppance. Of course there's some mutual sympathy there as well. I saw something about an EFL protest at their HQ. I'm guessing there will be people from Rovers action groups and the Tangerine Knights present.

OK I went on an off topic tangent but I'm not obsessed with Kean or the Oystons. Other people have obsessions too pretty sure Thenodrog instigated the latest Lowe discussion. Another mention of Allardyce too whenever the subject of fan vitriol comes up.

You would have had more of a point if you called me out for bringing up the Walkers (no denial of my obsession there) on the Waggott thread.

About the latest signing not really much we know either. Well not me anyway.
