Another corner and another soft arsed winner. I remember mowbray being a no nonsense defender ,what I can't get my head round in my brief comeback is how it's not addressed in training . It's shocking.
Well looks like we've lost Evans for a time but if we've got away without losing one of our best players then that'll do me.

I'm starting to hope we give penalties away rather than corner kicks! They are less dangerous! Everybody in our division will know how weak we are on the back stick. Mystified why Mowbray with all his experience at CH can't sort it. I wonder if he's got a bet on with someone that he wont ever put a man on the post during a game?

We have no pace, excepting Dack....we need to try and keep him this transfer window. Why the hell did ToMo bring him on, was he looking for Rovers to force an unwanted draw, and what about the risk of an injury. Bad decision making by Mowbray in my opinion.
I counted only two Rovers attempts on target, the first after 62 minutes and the second at around 88 mins.
Back post again, I suspect that Shrewsbury, and indeed every opponent from now on will try and exploit this gaping hole.

They should use this video of Hull's goal to coach kids across the nation of what NOT to do when marking the back stick at corners! Not only did we lose the scorer (who in fairness did well to elude his markers and get the header in) but the man on the back post deserves a massive bollocking! If the Manager doesn't single him out for one then he needs one too! I wasn't there nor can I make out who it was on our far post but I am at a definite loss to fathom what was going through his bloody head at the time! He looks like he's practicing the bloody square dance ffs! The posts NEVER move! If he'd simply stood where he was he'd easily have prevented the goal.

It happened at the far end to all the Rovers supporters and as you say it's not easy to see who it was but seeing that he did exactly what he should not do and left the post. If he had stayed there it would have been an easy job to clear that weak header. He should be fined a weeks wages. As with nearly all those goals from corners they would be stopped with a man staying on the far post.
