A common sense appraisal of Everton's squad v Livvies squad would suggest that Everton would be likely to lose 9 matches out of 10 if they attempted to out football, out pass and out play their neighbours. Wouldn't it?


Maybe look at it another way Abbey and tell me how many of Everton's squad would get into a combined Liverpool City team if you were in a position to select it? I can only think of Pickford possibly and he must take a lot of blame for Liverpool's winner.

Woke up this morning with Cup Fever,I thought it was dengue.Play everyone but Dack and Smallwood and see how we fair against a bottom half chumpionship team.

It doesn't matter how many would or wouldn't get into Liverpool ,arsenal or Chelsea's team does it ? It matters how you try and play the game and the truth is the Messiah's style a la John beck belongs in than anals of football. The Everton team is worth 350 million and as you say sits 9th in the league surely 350 million of talent and another international on the way means that the players are better than hoofing and chasing .
You say if they played footy they would lose , well they lost and have now ,after the new manager bounce and bounce he can, three in a row. Last night when they played footy they threatened and actually scored . They lost because they hoofed the fecker and immediately got put back under pressure by not keeping the ball.
Back to today, I'd play a strong side because I'm a firm believer in winning . Going off gords theory we shouldn't be trying to win just oiking the ball because hull are in a different league to us.

something that brings things into the realities of how far the scummers have taken us is emphasised in just over an hours time when Fleetwood play the foxes.North West telly said its the first time that Fleetwood have played top flight opposition in a competitive game . Yet here we are in the same division.

BBC making a hullabaloo about Vardy’s return to Fleetwood . One big problem - he isn’t in the squad and arguably was unlikely to ever have played ( Leicester have made 8 changes) . The Premier League teams attitude to the FA Cup , especially in the earlier rounds , has meant I’ve lost all interest in it .

:eek:Oh my stars waggy!! You'd risk Charlie Mulgrew????? He's notoriously injury prone and if we lose him all we've got to replace him are the cultured feet and 'steely' defensive skills of Elliot Ward to fall back on! :(
