Enjoy your day Husky. Having lived all over the world, including by the Med and in the southern hemisphere, I have to say that I appreciate the northern European winter. As much as I enjoyed living in all warmer climes, I wouldn't swap where I live now for anywhere else in the world. Find the right spot in the UK and there is no better place if you ask me - even in, or especially in some cases, the bleak mid-winter.0130am curfew here for Xmas Eve (which is pretty good considering the current events). I was ready at any moment to make a dash back to the UK if there was going to be a lockdown 2. Though in the end it´s actually ended up with the UK Christmas being the one to suffer more.
I´m now really looking forward to the 18c sunny forecast and eating out at a restaurant for Christmas Lunch. Plus I haven´t met anyone from Burnley yet, so it´s all win win win!!!
Now I´m actually dreading going back to the shitty British winter in 2021 and there´s not much going for Blackburn these days (including no Ewood Park - though that could actually be a positive thing). I might have to become a Brexicano. . . . .
Merry Christmas!
That´s what I´m talking about. And climate change will just mean even wetter winters for the UK (and it won´t feel warmer at all due to the rain and wind and the fact that you can´t enjoy 6c any more that 3c if you get what I mean).I wouldn't mind a bit of winter 'proper' so much but we rarely get it these days. I know it's lovely, clear and crisp today but the rest is just constant grey cloud, rain and damp air.
