0130am curfew here for Xmas Eve (which is pretty good considering the current events). I was ready at any moment to make a dash back to the UK if there was going to be a lockdown 2. Though in the end it´s actually ended up with the UK Christmas being the one to suffer more.
I´m now really looking forward to the 18c sunny forecast and eating out at a restaurant for Christmas Lunch. Plus I haven´t met anyone from Burnley yet, so it´s all win win win!!!

Now I´m actually dreading going back to the shitty British winter in 2021 and there´s not much going for Blackburn these days (including no Ewood Park - though that could actually be a positive thing). I might have to become a Brexicano. . . . .

Merry Christmas!

Enjoy your day Husky. Having lived all over the world, including by the Med and in the southern hemisphere, I have to say that I appreciate the northern European winter. As much as I enjoyed living in all warmer climes, I wouldn't swap where I live now for anywhere else in the world. Find the right spot in the UK and there is no better place if you ask me - even in, or especially in some cases, the bleak mid-winter.

I wouldn't mind a bit of winter 'proper' so much but we rarely get it these days. I know it's lovely, clear and crisp today but the rest is just constant grey cloud, rain and damp air.

That´s what I´m talking about. And climate change will just mean even wetter winters for the UK (and it won´t feel warmer at all due to the rain and wind and the fact that you can´t enjoy 6c any more that 3c if you get what I mean).

I either want sun, or cold and dry (like Norwegian type weather etc). Dampness and arthritis no.

Dry being the key to me. It's not necessarily the UK though it's the North west and the west of Scotland. If it rains all night here v it raining all night on the east the difference is about half an inch of water.

First Chrissie prezzi arrived on the 23rd.
Latest trend . A fillet steak dinner for two complete with veggies plus cooking instructions with sticky toffee pudding to finish in a cardboard box and delivered from the Hawksmoor. Fillets so large that er indoors saved half of hers for lunch yesterday.
