Will this be a Maj driven thread ?
I am currently on a nutribullet diet and trying to lose at least 3 stones on drs orders. Its hard but am enjoying being back in the gym doing cardio and getting a good old fashioned sweat on.

Retired! whot you up to now lol
Taking a year off, whilst I consider what to do next. We will see.

Starvation diets combined with strong exercise are not easy. Serious physical and mental negative side effects, you need serious mental strenght to do these. Not recommended. High protein/fat diet would be better with exercise provided the intakes are done at certain time points.

I'm feeling quite faint at reading this thread, I think I need a drink.
A glass or four of red will do....aaahh a steak, thank you, I'm feeling a little better now.

Indeed dave..... when I see a jogger smiling I might be persuaded to give it a go!;)

Not only that but that Atkins diet chappie and Jim Fixx the (canadian) father of modern day jogging both died suddenly from heart attacks! Fixx I believe was 42!

Thanks Maj, if I've got the timing and combinations right, the Mrs will be cooking up a storm tomorrow evening and I'll be cracking a bottle about the same time, though I could go a bit early.

nutribullet .. a cross between a blender and a juicer.
I have one at breakfast and lunch and real food at teatime.

Lost 1.5 stone now .

So a starvation diet, the trouble is the body will not just break down fat, it will also breakdown protein or muscles. Yes you lose weight but alas it will not just be fat as one assumes you intend? How long has it taken to drop 1.5 stones? Also consider you are exercising, so muscles are being worked and need repair. If your body does not get it from the diet, then it will break down muscles not being used to repair those it is using.

Have you factored in doing away with the stress the other 'place' was causing you? That must be worth a couple of omeprazole per day :)
