looks ok and only 3 a month more than dw....thinking of joining after Greece
I use the blackburn 1 were the uni is and witton park..i do classes more than use the actual gym..can always try it if it's monthly contract then change back if rubbish .

I swim on holiday but I don't bore myself with slogging up and down the length of the pool. You just get in everyone's way doing that anyway. I'm more of a floater on my back really or I chat to other swimmers. You get to know people that way then you can chat to them when you see them later in the bar. It's a social thing really.

Seems the route to fitness and well being relies heavily on lounging around and boozing these days ....... Thought it was just me!:)

That's good going ..i did 32 lengths in 40min..so wonderd if that was good enough as part of a work out...was only doing breast stroke tho

As the post above clearly shows - In all honesty I doubt this forum is the best to get advise on fitness. I did it could I had to for an event I have no idea if it was the right amount or not. We need to find some sort of athlete on the forum that can advise, sadly a lot of us are past our athletic best :-(
