Hi All, I am Majiball aka Maj, long time rovers fan, having first seen rovers play chelsea way back when I was 4. Love football, played a decent level and muck around in grassroots these days. Full-time venky hater, who loves good debate and banter. Well done to the lads behind the scenes, fingers crossed it does well.

Hi. I've registered now but unfortunately I can't register in the name I've used for years "Al" because it's too short so it looks like I'll have to be Alan on here. I need my mod status reinstated too please.

Drog, we must have had similar upbringing.
Told to get out of the house and play, then copped a belt round the ear for coming back too late:D
Just enjoying a Cab Merlot from Margaret River.

I think most of our age had the same upbringing Dave. Had a deliciously soft Shiraz from Rosemount Estate last night. Beautiful!

Indeed Al.
That's a nice wine from a good vineyard.
Do you aerate your reds, or decant them?
Aerating makes the wine softer and seem a couple of years older.

If you can get your hands on them try Vega Piedra Rioja or Reserve de Fleur Cotes Du Rhone (you will have to decant this one as it is non filtered for added texture) If you want some thing a bit less pricey try Borsao Garnacha 2015, silver medal at the international wine and spirit competion 2016, best value red in the world today and our house red!

ps, I can personally vouch for all 3 hic!

When we were in Montreal a couple of years back, we had a Rioja from a vineyard named iirc Cascares. That was really pleasant on the palette.
I'm a member of the www.winesociety.com.au
I get a dozen each quarter and a special dozen in winter and summer .
