Hi. 1-4 I think. Was in Riverside. All Utd fans singing 'Bye Bye Blackburn' to the tune of ' Bye Bye Blackbird'

Rovers95 here. First game in the sixties v Utd. Lost! Never looked back! Chorley then Uni then London then sunny Alderley Edge! More aways than homes these days. I am in the corporate world but I am at a loss as to the Venkey's strategy or even if there is one. Cheers all.
Welcome

Yes that's the one, I got passed over the heads of the blokes in the Blackburn end and sat on the red track while the older brother made his way through the crowd.

Welcome rovers95.
I can't rem a 1-5 v Man Utd yoda. If it was the relegation season of 65/66 it was 1-4 and we'd already been relegated about 6 matches before. Seems a trend because my first match at ewood was 2-2 also with Man Utd but in 62/63.
Am I the only one to believe that supporting a small town team is a life sentence but infinitely preferable to supporting some big club from distance by way of being character building?

btw my first experience of the 'Bye Bye Blackburn' song was it being sung by a number of LUFC supporters who had positioned themselves in seats in the Darwen End corner of the Nuttall Street stand. In those days I watched the matches from standing in the corner of the Darwen End next to the iron railings between the 'Enclosure' and the Darwen End. Reason being so that my Dad could keep his eye on me whilst watching with his usual group of friends in the Enclosure. The Rovers on those days offered no concessions for children in the Enclosure and my Dad must not have felt like paying 3/6d for me when he could get away with 1/6d! Life was tougher back then wasn't it?

Dunno but I seem to rem the 1 was from the Penalty spot. In fact I think it might even have been 1-0 for a time.

Welcome Graeme, if you have any problems with anyone, just point them in the direction of Abbey.
He'll sort it!
Pretty friendly bunch here, lots of different opinions on lots of things.
A few interlopers try to upset the applecart, but we carry on....
