Sam's biggest problem imo is that he has no anticipation of possible events, at either end of the pitch. Adam Wharton is a couple of seconds in front of the average player and is worth millions whilst Sam is a couple of seconds behind the average player.

Well I would suggest a CH needs to read (anticipate!) the game better than most players on the pitch to make up for their general slight lack of pace
A player 2 seconds slower would be playing in Blackburn combination - and certainly not at championship level and commanding a £5m fee
