I've just read on the club website that Lennie has passed away. And, as some of us who remember him from his time at Ewood are entitled to say, "He was only 52."

If memory serves, he'd been fighting Motor Neurone Disease; an illness which, bad at the best of times, is particularly cruel to sports players.

The fact that his passing is on the club website surely means that there'll be some recognition of him before out next home game. Shame on the

One of my old Rovers tapes I've still got has a goal he scored for the reserves from about 40 yards before he became a first team regular. Very sad, a reminder to all that time is precious and life is short.

RIP Lenny.

"tests reveal that it's motor neurone disease" are the words that you never want to hear from your Doctor. Poor Lenny, he's been a great servant to North West football. RIP.

I didn't even know Gigg lane was still open. I guess they'll be wanting to rename it soon.
