They have changed it, it was causing big problems with not enough youngsters coming through to support/replace the older generation. It was never actually fully one child anyway, in rural areas you could have two if the 1st born was female, this again caused problems with induced terminations to get the gender that was wanted. As a result the population in China has become skewed with substantially more males in certain areas.
Interesting and thanks for the information. I think one kid per family should be brought in here as a large number of people just seem to pop them out for fun.

Not really a lot that can be done now until NK actually target another country. For the moment it's nothing but sabre-rattling and posturing. They might be trying to provoke the US into a preemptive strike, but hopefully it won't come to that.
That's probably true though obviously their weapons exist. Its somewhat hypocritical of the US but it would be a lot safer if they had weapons and NK didn't. Economic sanctions can only go so far and won't change the dictator's personal life.

He's a fruitloop, I won't stop until we match the nuclear power of America. China must be getting restless as nutjob could nuke them all tomorrow, wonder what it will take for progression from sanctions to action?

Says a lot that we've got this depraved lunatic determined to start a nuclear war and yet the likes of the BBC deem it of zero significance compared to Trump's twitter feed.

"If the plans are realised, a hundreds-strong North Korean delegation - including 230 cheerleaders, 140 orchestral musicians and 30 taekwondo athletes - could cross into the South via the land border to attend."

I wonder how many will be going back!

What I wanna really know is ...who has the biggest button
Trump. Obviously.

I hate to say it, but the older I get the more I believe that international relations are nothing more than school yard politics. One component of that is that bullies respect strength, and will bully those without it. If you do not project strength, you are increasing the prospect of conflict and the bully will push the issue until he’s popped in the nose.

The USA, UK, etc. is strong and has always been strong. But by acting with deference, acting as if we aren’t willing to get our hands dirty, all we’ve done is encourage the bully. We need leaders with swagger, those who present as hard men, in order to avoid conflict. Those who act as if they fear conflict or will go to any extent to avoid it, will be pushed into the locker, tossed into the bushes and generally terrorized.

In short, Trump is doing exactly what should have been done 30 years ago. Push comes to shove, he will remove Kim Jong Un from the face of the earth. Trump knows it, Kim knows it, and the world knows it. With that marker set down, Kim has to consider whether he wants to survive and whether he wants his people to survive. If the answer is yes, then at that point it becomes about him saving face while attempting to befriend the person who can and will crush him, so he doesn’t look like a coward.

My hope is that we are on the road to peace, but I know we are on to the road the Kim family doing something else and Korea re-integrating. How we get there is up to Kim.
