We are playing tonight you know, anyway he has scored again. If he is not playing the next league one match from the start then Mowbray out.

How long is he signed for, we could have a winner here.

I've no problem with that tbh. John Williams said a decade ago that we are not a 'selling club' but rather a 'trading Club'.
Lots of players move to better clubs, it's the dog eat dog nature of present day football. The trick is to make money on them AND use some of it to bring in the next one.

Maybe not Abbey but can you define what constitutes 'a normal club'?

It's reality in today's Premier League.

Big difference between scoring for the reserves and in a joke cup and scoring in the league. Again, like Chapman, he's 20, not 16 or 17, so he's not exactly a prodigy. Couldn't get a game for 2 years for Aberdeen who then didn't renew his contract.

Maybe he will do well and I really hope he does but there isn't half a tendency to exaggerate the ability of our young players, especially the ones who haven't gotten a game yet. Raya was the best thing since sliced bread when he was on the bench, turns out (predictably) he's no better than Steele. While Nyambe broke into the first team at 17, 3 years younger than Chapman and Nuttall and at a higher level, which to me indicates he had a lot more potential. But I don't hear many fans raving about him now the novelty effect has worn off.

If Mowbray's preferred formation has Dack playing off the main striker, I would stick with Graham who's playing well, and carry on easing Nuttall in gently.

Graham is way past it. Yesterday's man. Get rid. The future is Samuel and Nuttall from what I have seen at Ewood.

Way past it at 32, still can't get over that. Were you after binning Tugay off for whichever shiny new youngster was in the reserves in the early 00s?

Graham has 77 premier league starts and 18 premier league goals. Which I'd put money on is 77 more starts and 18 more goals than Samuel and Nuttall will ever manage between them at that level. Its only last season he scored a goal that Jose Mourinho was applauding against his Man Utd side.

This last 7 years has been a continuous process of out with the old, in with the new, and we've almost always got worse.

Whilst I agree we tend to big up players that are not playing and lambast the ones that are, this chap is right on form at the moment and must be full of confidence, I don't see the need to ease him in. Then again I'm not a football manager. My point is that what more can the guy do to get a game, if he is dropped to the bench or worse the under 23's he could rightly be pissed off. It is not like he is a teenager.

The novelty effect is nail on the head!

Tugay was fit and not fat and what's more had skill and a football brain. It's a disgrace that Graham is past it at 32 but he is! Runs through treacle and loses headers to centre halves all the time because he can't jump. I don't care about his past it's now that counts and he is too overweight to play now.
Mourino was applauding the build up by Emnes. It was put on a plate for Graham and it's the only way he scores now.
Who cares what he did in the Premier League. He's not there now because he's not good enough and never will be again. Both Samuel and Nuttall might.

We've had lots of strikers in my time who couldn't do that Al.

We had one not too long ago who was perfect at it, but even that wasn’t enough for some people. ;)
If you mean Rhodes Amo I'm comfortable in the knowledge that you probably never saw him play. I did and everything that I said about him has been borne out. In fact I said many times that he'd not cut it in the Prem and I've been right about that too.
