Over population

I've been convinced for some time that the major problems in the UK and indeed the world are caused by overpopulation. Over population being the most talked about issue in the 60's and 70's. At that time the population of the UK was a whisker under 50m, 50 years on and it's now a similar whisker under 70m! Odd thing is that it's never heard about these days as global warming has taken over as the likely lead up to earths Doomsday.
Most of the over population has been caused by advances in medical science. Medical science being the Trojan Horse of the 21st century, a wonderous gift heralding in the demise of the established world order.
90% of modern day problems (including of course global warming) have their roots in the fact that there are simply too many people in trhe world, unfortunately concentrated in small areas and most certainly in England. Roads, rail, NHS and many public services are at breaking point and this nation no longer has the wealth to support them.

This is an interesting article.

It goes without saying that a bus (or anything else) can only fit a certain number of people in it until it becomes uncomfortable for all and then a physical impossibility.

Regarding the UK I never ever get an answer when I ask the "let them all in brigade" How many is too many? Let's say for arguments sake the whole continent of Africa wanted to come to the UK (1.5 BILLION approx) would that be okay? How about just half a billion? Maybe 200 million? How about just 20 million? AND wouldn't it be on the same level of cruelty to turn ANY of them away at any time?
What would actually happen in reality if millions (then 10s of millions, then 100s of millions of people just kept on coming and coming? (and then add in The Middle East and Asia on top) . . .

Then what about nature? It's okay saying "there is enough room for everybody". But constantly building more houses is not just bad for humans, it is also terrible for the environment. For every house built a part of the ecosystem is being destroyed - essentially animals, insects, trees, plants are all being MURDERED.
Never mind that the nice area you used to be able to take the dog for a walk is now a concrete jungle . . . .

If global warming IS going to be a thing then it's quite possible the whole of the rest of the world might have to move to Northern Europe - which is going to get every drop of rain in the entire world. LOL.

Speaking to a farmer last week from sw lancs and he said 10 years ago they rented some land which had been used for intensive arable farming for years. He said it was 8 years for the seagulls to follow the plough on that land. In effect it's taken 8 years of feeding with manure and no pesticide spray before the worms and insect life returned.
It goes a long way to explaining the fall in bird numbers and associated wildlife across the country doesn't it?

What irks me is that generally there is a famine in Africa every few decades or so. There does not however seem to be any birth control there and children are being born all the time who may turn out to be a victim of such a famine and starve. China gets the population reducing rules, why dosent Africa?

No welfare state odb. As one gets unable to feed oneself the more kids you have the better you eat.

I passed my Geography O level, I don't know what economic geography is. Is it something you posh kids studied at your grammar school?
