Blowing my own trumpet here but my playing partner and I became joint Winter League winners this morning on the last Sunday of the competition..... and my short game is poor too! Rem Mike chipping and pitching is the easiest thing to practice. You need a lesson or two to get your technique right and then as always...lots of practice.;)
Is your playing partner called Phil by any chance drog?

Missed this first time around but congratulations. It's quite an achievement to win the winter league.

Be even worse today.
Played it a couple of times years ago. Too steep these days to be enjoyable.

Played there in a seniors match a couple of years ago and my partner said "Win or lose this has to be over by the 16th". If you've ever played there you will know exactly why. Superb panoramic views there though.

At the end of the day, whatever the reason for it, he was in a car at 3am.
When pulled over by the cops he was unable to perform simple actions like standing on one leg and walking in a straight line then turning round.
Does it matter if it was alcohol or something else? He was a significant danger behind that wheel.

I used to play duxbury many moons ago
Just spotted the golf thread. I used to play duxbury 30 years ago! It was and still is a superb layout, it was a muni back then so it was cut very wide everywhere. Used to love the 10th I think where you tee over the water, and of course the 12th (again I think) with the drive to the top of the hill then a shot right over the valley to the green.

The first was always just get it over that first bunker!

I still play loads and I'm in two clubs right now, soon to be one. Love playing the game and love being outside.

Should be a cracking final round today. Tommy Fleetwood in a great position, fingers crossed for him.
Unfortunately I'm in Scotland with no TV
