I'd rather listen to Danny Murphy.
Peter Kay is the most unfunny person aside khan wanting mayweather to come out of Bolton .

Nah! That honour goes to Rickie Gervais, although I'll admit that Peter Kay after a decent start is no longer funny and his " Geraldine" persona was pathetic.

I can't stand Gervais, somehow he got lucky by being unfunny/one trick pony.

Kay is quality however it's just really like a night down the pub with your mates if you are from the North West. Does that makes sence? Meaning his jokes are just jokes we all tell all the time. He is just a natural funny person in my opinion.

Peter Kay peaked when he did Phoenix Nights imo. Very good as a chat show guest too but I've never been all that keen on his stand up tbh.

Just been on telly that they had sold 1,700,000 tickets! At a very wild guess of 50 quid each that's serious bunce isn't it? 85 million quid for 100 nights = almost £1m per night! I know there are costs to come out of that and no doubt numerous hanger on fees but Kay would be able to buy some serious bungalow out of that lot.

He could buy the town of Burnley x10 over.

I agree that his stand up is so so.

What has happened to Johnny Vegas these days, all he seems to do these days is the occasional tv advert?

I used to work with a brilliant comedian- ‘Wandering Walter’ Horam. He was my oiler / greaser at Farrington Foundry when I was a maintenance fitter. Anyone recall him - he played in goal with PNE for a short while I recall.

Wandering Walter, class act, saw him at the Lodestar on many occasions

The only known footage of Walter; it is from the Little & Large show. Enjoy!!

Once he was booked at a local catholic club the week after they had a break-in and started his act by pointing at the crucifix above the stage and said '' I see you've caught the bugger who broke in'' cue him being paid off there and then.

I recall taking him to a couple of shows. He was terribly nervous and had to drink a lot before he started.

Me too. He was hilarious but wouldn't get away with it these PC days!

I like Peter Kay and considering the constraints on stand up comedians these days where you can't take the piss out of anybody, we can all have a laugh at ourselves.
