I knew he was well paid but £44,000 a week is some pay packet for a Union official

In my experience Union leaders have always known how to look after themselves usually at the expense of the members who pay their wages , but this is excessive to say the least. However in Mr Taylor's case, apparently the money doesn't come from player subs but from the Premier League distribution to the PFA

In comparison , just £100,000 was put into concussion and head injury research by the PFA in the year ending June 2017

Highest paid union official isn't he? And by a country mile! Probably under qualified too as every time he'll need advice I'd imagine he'd pick up the phone to the PFA's solicitors or accountants.
