Mowbray hinting at the lack of intensity being due to 3 games in a week. C'mon Tony.... Man up cos I'm not having that when one considers the FA cup matches played recently by Wigan and Shrewsbury.

Here are the lowlights. First goal could have gone anywhere but flew into the top corner.
Second should have been cut out.

Goal 1 Dack and Armstrong playing at statues, guilty of ball watching and ignoring an opponent in space in the box.
Goal 2 seemed a slip by Downing with the attacker then simply reading the situation and reacting quicker than Williams.
With Wigan and Shrewsbury in such unrelenting mood we can't afford many more bad days at the office..

I've thought for some weeks that we are beginning to resemble the 3rd Division's Arsenal a little. All the possession but lacking a killer instinct when the going gets tough. Like Arsenal we have loads of possession but delay the final balls into the mixer a little too much which allows the opposing defence to get themselves organised. It's always better to hit them quickly and 'turn' the defenders to face their own goal line rather than tip tap around in front of them.

Bollocks Tony you picked the wrong team AND the wrong subs. This was down to you. Nobody else!

In fairness he was only one player wrong according to you Al. Subs might have been a different matter but I do believe that we are definitely missing Mulgrew dictating play from the back and there's nothing that he can do about that until Mulgrew is fit again..

Just got home from Plymouth.

What an appalling display. I cannot remember two passes completed together.

Bennett, Downing, Dack, Armstrong and Conway were dreadful. Plymouth adopted exactly the same tatctics as they did at Ewood. They chased everything and closed down Rovers immediately- we do not like it up us!! TM did not learn from the home game earlier this season.

Woeful in front of excellent Rovers support who paid good money.

33pts from 16 games, equates to 11 wins or a unbeaten run with 6 or 7 draws .Will this season be different and 92pts are not enough.I think not,we as rovers fans should know what chokers teams can be.

The one change that I predicted he would make. It was chickening out and had predictable consequences.

Hardly chickening out, plus we don't know the reason for him preferring Conway to Payne do we. He may have been carrying a knock perhaps? I'd say from what I have seen that Payne is rather a lightweight for this division and that we have rather too many 'small' players on the pitch when they are all playing. 3rd Div seems to me that you have to win the battles before you can win the match.

He did exactly what I predicted he would do. Payne is fast and tricky and blended well with Dack and Graham and Conway is over the hill. Better a good little 'un than a bigger dopey one but I'm rising to your bait and am not prepared to have an argument with you. If Payne was on the bench he was fit to play.

AL you spend to much time on'other site, fuck me just reading some of the so called experts makes my blood boil.
We're not going up,were no good,Mowbray is clueless etc.We just went on a 18 game unbeaten run, clawed back 12pts on the top two in that time and it's not good enough, give your head a wobble.

I spend a lot of time at Ewood watching the team play which I believe gives me a right to voice my opinions!

I agree with you totally Al.
I can't believe the comments from some but then many haven't seen the team play. Stats, stats and bloody stats.
Yes we went on an 18 game unbeaten run, whoopy do but we're still third in an absolutely shit league. Wigan and Shrewsbury have come to grips with it and unless we seriously and consistently up our game, they will finish as top 2.

We can't defend, so let's attack the fuck out of the opposition for the last 16 games and see what that yields. We've got the armoury and should be entertained at least!

Me too pal and certainly not having a go at anybody but we've not been good and I'm far from convinced. Let's just say that this team couldn't hold a candle to either team promoted from the third tier previously.

Luckily we are on sky 3 times in the coming months and I will see for myself,I still think the majority of fans are stuck in the Glory years,I marvel at some of the football we played in the premier,.In 92 maybe 20% of our fan base could remember top flight football,in 2018 it's like 85%,we were spoilt by Uncle Jack, and I hope Dunny is reminding these players off them times.

This Rovers team can’t defend properly ( when it counts ) & that’s been a problem all season . Im at a loss to understand why TM has such a lightweight & flimsy back four . This is a league in which you have to win the physical battle & earn the right to play fancy football . If you don’t let goals in you don’t lose . I’d have loved the Rovers to have come away from Plymouth with a battling , hard fought , boring as hell , 0-0.

Having said that we’ve been on a good run , we can go again . Another unbeaten run , just 16 this time , will , I’m sure , see us go up automatically .
