Allardyce would have done this, Allardyce would have done that. Some people go on about him like he was a loss on a par with Jack Walker. How do you know Dyche would have even wanted the job at the present time? Maybe in the summer perhaps but not at the moment. He might not see Palace as his next step either. As for Hodgson's he's not a bad manager for failing with England even Capello did. He failed at Rovers and Liverpool but Inter wasn't a disaster hence why Jack hired him. With Fulham and WBA he proved himself a perfectly capable manager. Dyche is younger and that's about it. Still think Howe at Bournemouth comes across better than Dyche not that I watch either that closely.

Allardyce may have beaten Southampton and then again he might not have. One thing he was known to be very negative about however were games like the ones Palace have coming up.
Try as you might vinjay but you cannot rewrite the history books. The fortunes of just about every club that allardyce has left have taken a turn for the worse. Can't say the same about hodgsons old clubs can you?

The only reason I'm criticising them for booing Lukaku is because of their embarrassing fawning over Rooney. I despise such blatant hypocrisy and their pathetic attempts to defend it. No self respect at all how can you take fans seriously with the likes of them around? No wonder fans have been turned into corporate puppets. Liverpool fans are laughing at them and if you're a kid growing up there why on earth would you choose the club that rolls over for United all the time?

They should have signed a top young striker from the continent instead of that thuggish oaf.

Hodgson left Fulham and West Brom in good shape along with other clubs on the continent. Maybe Allardyce's clubs took a turn for the worse after he left because they made rubbish replacements. Kean, Lee, De Boer, etc. Bilic finished 11th last season so you can make West Ham exempt.

Last 5 years.......... Won 4 Lost 6 with the rest drawn is hardly rolling over all the time. In fact if they'd won yesterday the record would have been equal. Factor in the cost of both squads and the respective wage bills and I think they've probably exceeded most commentators expectations.

As for who they should have signed you may have a point but these days it's more about shirt sales and PR.

A decent head to head record isn't a bad thing but what about the big picture? The only reason Rooney's transfer generated shirt sales and PR was because of the fans pathetic (and beyond gullible) fawning over him. Had they reacted badly as they should have it wouldn't have happened. Its their fault and I hope they live to regret it. Liverpool fans can use this as strong ammunition against Everton as they pretty much guarantee no selling to United.

How do people feel about this? Leicester trying to complete a transfer outside the window because it was blocked in August for being 14 seconds too late.

Common sense is an argument to an extent but rules are rules aren't they in some circumstances? This is a clear rule that can be implemented easily unlike UEFA with their pathetic FUP. Where do you draw the line if Leicester are allowed this deal? Next summer what if someone is 10 minutes late couldn't they just say that Leicester got away with it (to an extent as its been a month already) and take legal action?

There's a debate for scrapping the transfer windows of course but that's another matter. Personally I believe they should be scrapped but its not something that dominates my football related thoughts either.

Can never get my head around all of this "final few minutes" deadline dealing.
The transfer window is open for weeks, so why take the risk? Get the transfer done with a week to go.

I'm sure on the odd occasion events conspire to make it difficult for individuals to meet, get approval etc. but leaving things until the last hour or so is just asking for trouble.

Another good win for Burnley . What does Dyche have to do before a big or a bigger club takes a chance on him ? Change his name to Seanio Dycheo ?

I would imagine Burnley fans will be hoping they'll lose soon!
Koemans one I see who may lose his job this year and Everton might well be casting their eyes over Dyche. They'd see him as a good fit I'd imagine

At last he's being talked about as a potential fit for a big club. It's only a matter of time but hopefully it will come sooner rather than later . The likes of Crystal Palace , Sunderland & Everton might regret , when they had a chance , of not persuading him to move if he gets snapped up.

Not sure how I missed this but Martin Edwards talked about how Jack refused to sell Shearer to Man U a few days back. "Over my dead body" Jack stated. Meanwhile some idiot at Leeds practically offered Cantona to them on a silver platter.

A very well done to him! The facilities and potential at City are fabulous! I wonder if he might point a few of the more promising 'fails' in our direction? I'd imagine Rob Coar is the only link of now with then.
Doubt it. Stuart Jones too busy salivating over United rejects and probably has no idea who Wilcox is. Why he wasn't mentioned when Joyce was linked sums up the current regime.

Robert Coar only cares about whatever is in it for him. I bet Coar and his old director pal Matthewman have had some good laughs over past few years.
