I'd wager if the arabs said "if you want Evans Pep then you buy him with your own money" that he'd change his tune pdq. As it stands anything that separates Arabs from their wealth is fine by me.
Right whatever that's supposed to mean. I doubt Mansour will ever be separated from his wealth. If there's such a thing as a bottomless pit its the resources his family has access to.

All these numbers in football truly amaze me. Do we remember what we are saying when we talk in millions of pounds? One of these millions would probably keep any of us in comparative luxury for the rest of our lives but when we are talking in football terms we refer to a million like confetti. It's distasteful and nauseating that such riches are treated that way in football.

At least people could keep up with the figures in the 90's. At current rate zeroes will be slipping off the page. I know inflation has to be taken into account as well but its insane. City won't ever have a problem keeping up with their ownership (especially if FUP is completely eradicated) but that's an exception as even likes of Abramovich don't have a bottomless pit. I can't see Sky having any serious financial problems anytime soon though and fans are becoming more and more like brainwashed puppets. Look at Everton fans recently don't people stand by their morals anymore? Its no wonder fans aren't treated with the utmost seriousness and regarded as no more than pound signs.

Thought City were out of this world against Everton tonight in the 2nd half. Playing with 10 men they dominated possession, chances and won the half 1-0. This against an Everton side who were clearly on it going off the first half performance.

The Etihad doesn't half sound an impatient, hard to please, nervy, groany place these days though. Getting worse than Arsenal. I always wonder if these perpetually critical and demanding fans know how hard they make it for their team to play with freedom.

Chelsea have told press outlets its not true. Have to say I believe them despite Roman's propensity for firing managers. If Roman was going to fire Conte he would have by now. With the other firings there was generally a reason albeit harsh in some cases. If a manager wants to work there they know what they have to deal with. If they did fire him who's to say it would be insane? Chelsea never seem to suffer much beyond the short term.

More evidence of the unthinkable panning out before our eyes ........ As we ponder our next awayday at Rochdale Burnley supporters have just watched their team draw with Spurs in the Premier League at Wembley!

Sean Dyche is a real life footballing alchemist and the natural successor to Sam Allardyce ( dare I ask , will he turn out to be even better ? ) . His new £15 million signing scores in injury time at Wembley on his premier league debut . Burnley gain 4 points from their first two away games against last years champions and runners up.

If and when West Ham sack Bilic , they'd be mad not to offer Dyche a kings ransom . I'd offer to drive Sean to London for the interview !

Because no one has nicked him away I've a feeling that he's on a King's ransom already in the form of a profit share.

btw I believe Crystal Palace supporters might now be another club to find out Allardyce's worth the hard way. The lower reaches of the Prem and the lower divisions themselves are littered with em. Try as I might I'm struggling to think of any club that he has left who have improved their standing in the leagues.

Reading between the lines I'd suggest Chelsea are well on the wane. Champions but Turned down by the type of players who would have walked over broken glass to join them a decade ago. Summets going sour i feel..... Sorry 'hope'. Arsenal too are nothing like the outfit they were and Everton are refusing to even speak to spurs about barklay! The balance of power is shifting. The capital doesn't seem an attraction anymore.

This is interesting. I saw this last night but couldn't be bothered to comment till now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41098534

Wagner doesn't believe Wells is good enough for the Prem whilst Dyche obviously does. Coming on the back of Hughes deeming Jon Walters past it whilst Dyche doesn't. My tea leaves are suggesting to me that Burnley are Championship bound again or at very least will be facing a bottom third scrap for their lives.
So approx 40m in the black this summer in transfer trading:sun:. Happy days! However it's my personal belief that Dyche must be on some sort of profit share rather than a simple 'basic' (or else why would he still be there?) and if so this makes perfect sense. Keane and Gray out for serious money with a few cheapies brought in. It's quite likely that Dyche has forced the sales to get his 20% (?) up to a certain figure imo.
Burnely in's and out's. http://www.skysports.com/burnley-transfers

Bit of a conspiracy theory about it all I admit but with Dyche at the helm it makes a great business model for a small club. Way back when I suggested that we reward the taffia in a similar manner but was a met with general derision by Gunner in the main and and his bum chums. History since suggests that they might do well to listen next time.
