Like we've done on the rovers thread I thought rather than keep opening threads we could pay respects to fallen footballers here...
Can't believe that Cyrill Regis has passed away at the young age of 59 .heart attack.
I used to love watch him on MOTD when I was a youngster.

An incredibly powerful and strong centre forward. He appeared indestructible in those days.
Tragedy has followed the footballing ‘3 degrees’ for some reason. Brendan Batson being the only one left now and hes lost his wife with a brain tumour.

As Drog says , Cyrille was one of the other 3 degrees . A true gentleman by all accounts and a proper old school centre forward. Always envied him in this pic getting so close to one of my teenage heartthrobs , Sheila Ferguson !

RIP Cyrille

RIP Cyrille, sad day and sad loss. Along with Clyde Best, Cyrille Regis was the first black footballer I remember.Scored some memorable goals for the Baggies. 59 is no age.

Fantastic player and pioneer for black players in English football. The abuse black players received from future Brexit voters in those days was appalling.

I am proud to have voted Brexit. I also still have the physical scars from fighting rascists in Blackburn and Blackpool in the 1970’s.

You really are a top wally at times.

Grow up!

My wife is black and we both voted Brexit . Posts like that do you no credit whatsoever . Admin is there a facility for me to personally block this character?

Well that post went down well John.... I don't think! Wrong time and place.

btw Re: Cyrille Regis there will be a minutes applause before every Premier League match this weekend. I strongly disagree with that. OK for the next home match for WBA and Coventry but not for the entire Division. There's genuinely too much of this palaver.
