Not the easiest chap to get on with nor a nice man either apparently BUT he could certainly belt out rock and roll. Is Little Richard still alive? (just googled and yes he is.) He's another who could deliver the old R&R like few others.

I agree with Lemmy, Little Richard greatest rock and roll singer ever (apart from Freddie of course)

Chuck was amazing but let's not forget filming women having a shite and also having sex with a 14 year old :(

Legend! We were fanatical about him in the 6th form! Saw him in Manchester, 1964 I think. Took along an album for him to sign.
We waited for him outside, tried to get autographs off him, bugger refused and we walked back to his hotel with him (the Midland) chatting away all the time and said our farewells as he entered the hotel.
Can you imagine that now? Rock star strolls back to hotel on his own after a concert!
