Dolan fucked it up before he hit the post
There was a simple ball to his right to Gally in acres of space
Well would you have passed to gally yesterday? 3 goals all season from a centre forward?
As for szmodics who one can usually rely on to find the net, he had wandered into an offside position.
Any criticism of Dolan must be tempered by the fact that every kick out from pears is a huge lump upfield. Hyam too appears to believe that Dolan can out jump a 6ft defender! Thick or what?
In the second half Dolan was giving the Coventry defence lots of problems and I was surprised when he was subbed. In fact I am left questioning every substitution yesterday. Asari prob did ok but chrisene is next to bloody useless and Moran has got progressively worse throughout the season.* I'd have thrown Buckley on instead of Moran for sure. All those subs are off next week whilst Buckley is an academy product.

*the change in style from the start of the season under JDT to now under eustace is enormous and some players really aren't suited to eustaces hoof ball game.

I would question that - I was virtually in line with that passage - in defence of Dolan going left (to SS)- the defender was blocking that avenue to a degree - Too his right (Gally), no such issue - if he had gone that way Gally had a free run at goal
What he would have done is probably FiUp - but that was what should have happened. Dolan dithered, as he always does, and it was gone

No... it hit the inside of the post. Couldn't have been nearer and bloody Gallagher missed an open goal sitter with the last kick of the match. The big problem with Gallagher is that he has NO anticipation and seemingly no hunger whatsoever. Good strikers make lots of pointless runs that go unnoticed just to get on the end of one. Gally simply doesn't have that ability, never has and never will have.

The simple truth is that we can’t afford a better version of Sam and if he could do all the things you wanted of him then he would be signed by another club.

Again I question that
Gally is constantly trying to make runs - watch him
My bet
In training, players are pinging balls over the top etc and it works
Up against players working hard to close down the passer and the runner - it doesnt
It like communism, in theory it works......... in real life...not so much

Being one of our highest wage owners we can't afford Sam. Even worse he's out injured half the time which virtually doubles his wage.

It’s also a proven many times fact that we win more games when he plays than when he is missing. Also no one could ever question his lack of effort and commitment to the team. He never stops running that chap.

So we cant move him on anyway - nobody want a croc - he hasnt got injured recently - he must want a move
Who gave him this great deal......asking for a friend

His best efforts are in defence. This season he's scored 3 out of 23 appearances at a cost of over £36000 per week. No way is he good value.

I’m pretty sure Ipswich still want him.

36k per week
Really!!
If that was true - and I would be happy to bet a lot of money it isnt - I get your complaint/reservations
If we were paying at that level we would be above Leicester and Leeds

I think he’s working out the cost per goal pal.

Simple maths Steve. A reported 16k pw is £832000 per annum. Divided by 23 games that's £37174.00 per match.
That was always my objection to sick note dunny. Fine player when he was fit to play every week just before his contract was up but too bloody expensive to lie on the treatment table playing a play station as soon as it was signed again.

No that's over £273000 per goal. Get rid.
Oh and ODB should Ipswich be promoted as appears very likely I doubt they'll go anywhere near Sam Gallagher.

Fair enough

I canot believe any player chooses to be injured - some just are, and we seem to have more than our fair share of those (Hedges,JRC spring to mind first)

So recruirment has to be a factor - and ours has been poor in not checking history or doing thorough medicals?

If I was injury prone - I wouldnt have it at the top of my CV

We have corrupt owners and this stench hasn't gone away. I think it will cost me 12,200£ to buy venues shares. if people as fans group want to help me with that, PM me.
