Season Tickets 24/25

Looks like the club will be reducing season ticket prices for the 2023/2024 season.

Head of Marketing, Fraser Read, also confirmed the club are looking to reduce cost for 2024/25 season tickets in a bid to move them in line with other local clubs.

I opined way back when we were first promoted to the prem that by rights as Man Utd supporters back enjoyed famously cheap ST's that if were to sustain a challenge without jack walker's help that we should be paying 2-3 times more than MU supporters. I suspect on the day we played Leicester at Wembley that many would have accepted that deal with 5 mins to go till ft, probably 3 years later at Anfield too! Unfortunately such promises are soon broken after they are made.

John Williams is hailed as a club legend, but it doesn't take a genius to lower ticket prices to such a cheap point that the supporters will love you for it. The owners, however, have to then pick up the slack, and those ticket prices aren't going to last forever. Oh, to be the CEO who has to later balance the books by order of owners. There will no doubt have been some preliminary discussions (begging) with the owners about it.

While Venkys have made a total mess of the position we were in when they first took over, there is a culture of Rovers supporters wanting premium quality football at Poundshop prices. I suppose there's nothing wrong with hoping for that, but we have all been spoiled by the Walker era. The difference is whether individuals realise it or not and get back to the real world after the dreamland we revelled in. It's easy to be angry online at reality. But it is reality.

Elliott Jackson is now saying he misread the meeting minutes and that there was only a suggestion in the forum that the club should look at reducing season ticket prices rather than the club saying that they were doing it. Possibly a waste of a forum thread.

EFL FIXTURE SHCEDULE – SEASON 2024/25

Please be advised of the following key dates in respect of the EFL 2024-25 Season:-

· EFL Season Start Date – Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11th August 2024 (with the likelihood of one game being broadcast live on Sky Sports on Friday, 9th August)

· EFL Season End Date – Weekend of 3rd / 4th May 2025

· Carabao Cup 1st Round – Week Commencing Monday, 12th August 2024

· Carabao Cup Final – Sunday, 16th March 2025

· Play-Off Finals – Saturday 24th , Sunday 25th and Monday, 26th May 2025 (Divisional Play-Off finals still to be confirmed for each of the three dates)
