The House of Lords has recommended that betting firms are banned from appearing on players' shirts.
If implemented, this will affect not just Rovers but many other clubs.
I'm not saying that I disagree with the recommendation but, if betting companies aren't providing the advertising income, are there many other sponsors willing to put up the same amount of cash?

Probably not. However the most obvious group to suffer the effects of Covid-19 and the general financial malaise of small clubs will simply be the players and their agents. They will have to react to less income for the clubs by having to take less salary. If they can get more elsewhere than so be it but the truth of the matter is that they all can't do that. Who will care about that apart of course from the makers of luxury gas guzzling cars?
