Great team effort (inc the crowd) and was so pleased so many Rovers fans booed the ref off at full time amid all the celebrations, his penalty decision ranks as one of the worst ever seen, I chatted to a couple of Shrewsbury fans and they said they didn't even appeal because they knew it wasn't a pen!!
I thought Bennett was outstanding and Downing and Mulgrew not far behind

Great afternoon and a handy couple of quid on 3-1 @ 14/1 added the cream
Laughing!

Tonight’s going to be a good night . It’s great being a Rovers fan again and seeing the famous blue and white halves dispatch 2nd in the league with aplomb . Well done Tony Mowbray .

As Steve W says , Bennett man of the match . Just love his work rate .

Up the Rovers

Fantastic win,I always used to back rovers to win 3-1 Wilcox 1st goal the number of times that came up was frightening but that's before you could have the great odds off goalscorer, correct score.
Sounded like a perfect performance against the 12men of shrew, Charlie boy is a cut Above this league.
With Darren about to return I reckon we will win the league,oh I forgot I've been saying that all season.
For the guys who go to Ewood I doth my cap,you deserve tonight, and I hope you all get pickled.

Great win. Great performance. Loved how fired up the players were. It has taken 7 years but we finally have a group of lads that want to play for the shirt and put some pride back into the club. No doubt venkys will find some way to f it up but for now it is enjoyable to be a Rover.

Nice to se that again. It was never a penalty. Raya clearly got two hands to the ball and pushed it away. It was difficult for me at the time as I sit towards the Darwen End. It was a diabolical refereeing decision and should be reported. The linesman had a clear view and if he was worth his salt should have told the referee that he had got it wrong. The referee was roundly booed at half time and tellingly again at full time and rightly so.

OH FFS NOOOoooooo !!!!!!! was my initial reaction to Bradley Dack writhing on the ground after being caught by a last ditch tackle from behind just as he was letting fly from the edge of the box in the 92nd minute. I'd just minutes earlier wondered at the wisdom of introducing Travis for Samuel when at 3-1 up and against a team well versed in the dark arts of football, (as David Raya in particular will no doubt testify!) I'd have preferred to have seen Dack taken off and wrapped in cotton wool until next week. Fortunately after a rub by the trainer with the magic sponge he recovered enough to see the game out. I'd imagine he'd have been pretty sore this morning though.
"Shrews"? Hardly. More like giraffes with fangs! I along with a good number of others went to this match fearful of gaining all 3 points after seeing a lean and mean Shrewsbury Town more than matched Premier League West Ham United in the FA Cup the week before. I can only think that the Rovers must have shared the same fear and were determined to overcome their opponents as from the 1st minute they tore into Shrewsbury and never allowed them to settle into their game. The number of misplaced passes and balls kicked into touch by Shrewsbury was more testament to the Rover's pressing game than Shrewsbury's ineptitude. I don't know what the pre-match meal at Brockhall consisted of but it needs to be on the menu every week from now until May!
Being picky I'd crib that Samuel was a little out of sorts at being played wide right, although to be fair he played a major part in the 1st and last goals by winning the free kick and penalty, and should have played a bigger part if only Referee Brooks had applied the rules as others do and shown his red card to Shrewsbury's left back Beckles the red card for any number of offences before half time. Also I have to say that Downing fresh from signing a new contract struggled to pass to players wearing the same coloured shirt as his own. The rest though were magnificent and made Shrewsbury appear decidedly second rate.
Raya.... 6. Did everything thing expected of him which tbh apart from facing that penalty wasn't much. I just wish he'd stop experimenting with the Teflon coated gloves and get some that crosses stick to.
Nyambe... 7 Good solid match capped off with a delightful shimmy that left two opponents for dead! Goodness only knows where he got that from!
Downing .. 7 Solid but woeful distribution at times. Unlucky too to have a goal chalked off in the 2nd half for a reason which escaped most except of course the man with the whistle.
Mulgrew... 8 A class apart. His free kicks must terrify opposing teams and I was glad to see him stick the Penalty just as confidently into the other corner for once. I've heard somewhere that he is currently European football's leading scorer for a centre half! Peter Jackson's MoM.
Williams.. 7. Energetic display and joined the attack at every opportunity.
Samuel... 6 As I said earlier did OK, played a major part in two of the goals and seriously worried Beckles but imo not comfortable as a winger.
Smallwood..7 Typical 90 minute all action, energetic display and held nothing back in the tackle.
Bennett.... 8 Moved inside through necessity after injuries to Evans and Whittingham but as far as I am concerned he can stay there. His effort, determination and dedication to the cause was there for all to see! My personal MoM.
Conway... 7 Ran himself into the ground for the cause before being replaced by the newbie Armstrong.
Dack.... 7 Not at his best in the first half and lost possession on a number of occasions. Could still have scored a cracker too but for a wonderful flying save by Henderson. (I was directly in line with this and his save from Dack was made all the better because he was unsighted by his own defender.) Settled into the match much better after the break and his superb volley on the turn beat Henderson all ends up but unfortunately it didn't beat the post! Danny Graham following up whilst the Shrewsbury defence were ball watching stabbed into the empty net from close range.
Graham...7 Standing ovation when he came off and deservedly so. Never gave the opposing centre halves a minutes peace and showed genuine Premier League class.

Subs
Armstrong... 7 Solid and IMO promising debut. I need to see more of him but he reflected the team spirit perfectly and gave a gritty cameo with energy and desire. He appears to be the type of player who would have been described as 'spikey' by Graeme Souness (David Thompson). His legs appear half as long as his body so I’d imagine the obvious choice of nickname from his teammates might well be ‘Stretch’
Nuttall.... 6. Came on to see the game out and allow for the supporters to applaud Danny Graham off.
Travis... 6 On for Samuel and should have been on for Dack. With a little more experience and confidence could have scored in the dying seconds when put clean through but instead hesitated and took a touch too many.

Referee John Brooks 4. Poor and inconsistent interpretation of the rules. Infuriated both sets of supporters by giving two penalties when imo neither should never have been given. His first against Raya was a particularly poor decision. Was booed off at HT and at FT. On the plus side he did stride out the full 10 yards when he awarded a free kick when so many other Referees take shorter walking length steps.
