Luckily I was not at Ewood yesterday. I watched the game in the hills of NEast Portugal via a Fire-stick whilst chomping on a cod stew along with copious amounts of crisp clean delicious Vino Verde.

Yet again we should have been well in front after 20 minutes. After that Swansea dominated, they should have had more and managed the game out with a combination of the dark arts and the whimp like efforts of the Rovers team. The Rovers did not turn up yesterday with the notable exception of James Hill.

Yesterday was a game to forget about. We move onwards, and hopefully upwards although on that last point I lack confidence. Many Rovers fans say the January transfer window is key; what they forget about is that the V’s are not allowed to remit funds to the UK at present, it may be a window to remember for the wrong reasons…..outgoings!!

Perfect summary BB - but I had to suffer it from the Riverside
I feel credit where credit is due - Swansea stiffled us in key areas - especially Brittain and JRC
Moran seemed to give us a bit more - but overall we were poor

My only positive was that Leonard looks like he has bulked up a little and (with a bit of confidence) he could become a regular - he got in the right places and was a bit unlucky not to score (Confidence!!)

I also feel (like we have all said many times) anything is possible in the championship and that 10pt gap from relegation zone is what all the teams will be looking at
Ainsworth got his marching orders yesterday - thank god we got JDT and not him, like so many wanted

Thomason asked for an experienced striker and he wasn’t given one. The performance was as poor as I’ve seen in awhile. If we had had someone like Vardy at the spearhead of our attack we’d have been clear before Swansea had even got started. We just didn’t give the manager the tools to do the job and it shows with the chances that go begging.
Leonard has the movement of a striker but missed two yesterday. Composure comes with experience and our guys have to learn on the job.

No doubt a comment which could have come from the supporters of at least 90 other clubs Peter.

Yeah your absolutely right. I was using Vardy as a lazy example to prove a point. However the club not providing the manager with an experienced striker which was his request is proving a problem. Hopefully Ennis, the lad from Germany or Leonard who a rate highly will step up and fill that void.
Never thought I’d say this but how much do we miss Gallagher

A point I made 3 seasons back when after getting a spanking by Fulham we went on a run that saw us in second place. We then had a poor run in Feb / March where we blew our chances of promotion. I made the point in the local that if we'd swapped Gally for Mitrovic in August we'd have gone up instead of them. Similar this season with Vardy.
