Rovers so bloody naive by giving away stupid pointless free kicks. Chrisene, ayari, Sigurdsson in the past 3 mins.

Can anybody help me here? Why when the opposition are intent on running the clock down do the rovers appear to do their utmost to help them?🤔

Pathetic result again.

Sack the Board. Eustace out. Burn down Ewood Park.

FT too little too late sided and abetted by plenty of stupidity. We did look a little better when we went 4-4-2

Generally poor. Comical defending gave us a mountain to climb that we couldn't overcome. We huffed and puffed to try, but that about summed up our game. The only positive is not losing by more than a goal, but other results today really made it a worse day than it should have been.

Pears
Needs to be stronger for Swansea's first goal. Got taken out but should have got back up instead of looking for a free-kick that never was. What was he doing for Swansea's second goal? His stance was as though it was deflected and he was wrong-footed, but the replay suggested it was a clean strike down the centre of the goal that he should have been there to deal with. Poorest performance since his return.

Brittain
Got into good attacking positions down the flanks, but his crosses and poor decision making when in good shooting positions were poor.

Hyam
So-so. I can't really say what he did.

McFadzean
Worst game so far. His header gave Swansea licence to attack for their first goal. Didn't seem to be in control as much as he has been in other games so far.

Wharton
Best of the back three. Did OK, defensively, and drove forward when given the opportunity.

Pickering
Not enough energy to be playing as a wing-back. Don't think he did anything wrong, defensively, but no attacking impetus.

Buckley
The best of a poor pick for Man of the Match. Some decent passing and worked hard. Dispossessed easily on a few occasions. Should have scored in the second half after some neat trickery, but a good free-kick for our consolation goal.

Moran
Villain of the match. Got caught out defensively for our first goal, even if there was an element of luck, and lost the ball for their second goal. An awful day for him. I suspect there won't be any coming back from that as far as Rovers supporters are concerned. He raised his game against the Magpies, but he's been crap for three or four months.

Dolan
Poor. Should have buried a great chance in the first half inside the box, but placed it for a comfortable save for the 'keeper. Huff and puff to no avail.

Szmodics
Good finish from the free-kick. Looked tired and wasn't really at the races. Put in the effort as usual.

Gallagher
Really poor decision making. Could have put a couple of key passes in but his head was too down to notice. Should have done better in the second-half with a good chance on goal.

As for the subs...

Sigurdsson
Rubbish. Offered nothing. He's been going through the motions for some time, now.

Markanday
Rasping shot down the throat of the 'keeper. Looked spritely when he came on and offered a threat.

Chrisene
Did OK but to no great effect.

Ayari
Some neat passing. A decent cameo.

Gilsenan
Not enough time on the pitch to assess his efforts.

Three at the back sees us more defensively sound, but today was back to the silly errors we've seen all too often this season. A flat-back four is a little more risky, but we need to start picking up three points pronto, starting with Millwall on Tuesday night. I suspect we have to just do it.

Spot on analysis. I was a bit naffed off how little time Gilsenan was given. Two home games coming up and both are must wins. There were far too many poor passes and decision making today. It was simply not good enough and unless we have a dramatic upturn this is a relegation bound team. Relegation will spell disaster for Rovers and the town of Blackburn.

Finger out of the bottom time for JE, his coaching team and our players 🍩👈

I am on holiday so decided to spend Saturday afternoon out in fairly pleasant weather rather than stuck inside with a dodgy laptop stream.

Catching up it seems to have been a Jekyll and Hyde performance.

We are so bad we could not even take advantage of any short lived new manager bounce.
The Newcastle game seemed more like a performance for summer transfers show.
