Seems the natives across the channel are getting restless and demonstrating their ire in their time honoured tradition. I could perhaps understand them turning their anger toward New World wines but targeting a fellow eu member state is a bit rich!

Frederic Rouanet, the president of a local syndicate of winemakers who organised the protest, said the demonstration comes as part of the "economic war against economic criminals who abuse ruined winegrowers." He added: "We are going to take away the possibility of being able to import foreign wines."
Has Fred considered that would be suicide should the rest of the world agree to a tit for tat response and stop importing wine from France.
