I know most of you guys don't watch the same TV programmes as me but I believe that ITV have shot themselves in the foot by cancelling future episodes of The Halcyon. It was a drama about a hotel in London during the blitz and thousands of viewers have started a petition to have it reinstated together with another wartime drama called "Home Fires". Many are threatening to boycott ITV if they are not reinstated. I think it is a cost thing with the TV company.

ive watched a couple as well ,although its ok i cant help feeling its a rip off of The Man In The High Castle,

I've wondered for many years whether or not this country would be better now if the Germans had won WW2. In the early days my father was on Home Guard duty and the general opinion was that if the Germans had launched an airborne invasion we would have lasted about as long as France. We were virtually defenceless whereas the Germans had been preparing for war for years. If that had happened the yanks wouldn't have been able to use this country as a base and would probably never have entered the war in 42. With us at his mercy Hitler rather inexplicably turned his gaze away from us and toward Russia and his army fell victim to the Russioan winter, and the rest as they say is history.

As for telly... I'm eagerly awaiting the imminent return this spring of The Last Kingdom.

Dunno about that yoda cos I wasn't there but the old fella certainly was. I guess we'd have developed a resistance movement like the French but the Germans would have made resistance damned difficult if not impossible. Don't forget the French resistance only worked because it was being co-ordinated from here.
