Leo Duru signs a contract renewal until June 2026 with a one year option. Heard bits about him. He's a 19 year-old full-back.

Meanwhile, there are quite a few names whose contracts expire next month. Jared Harlock. Jay Haddow. George Pratt. Ethan Walker (remember him?). Charlie Weston. Harrison Wood. Plus a number of others.

Georgie Gent, a left-back who we loaned to Motherwell, appeared to do very well there. Hopefully we will get to see some of him preseason.

Isn't it great to be talking about so many of our academy players? How many other Championship clubs can have their supporters doing that to the extent that we can? And isn't it great to see the academy paying dividends? Long may it continue. Adam Wharton could inspire the next Adam Wharton to come through and make the grade.

I noticed that we gave Nick Michalski a professional contract a couple of months ago until June 2026. His scholarship contract still had over a year to run, so he must be highly thought of.
