Yeah it's odd how quickly Hurst has fallen from grace isn't it? I think Ipswich were punching above their weight under Big Mick and that's why I thought we'd snatch a win on the first day of the season (would have too but for the Rover's inability to defend from a winning position) , but the know alls amongst the Ipswich fans demanded a change didn't they? Happens time and again around the divisions. Happened at Ewood 10 years ago but of course there's no need for me to remind you of that is there waggy? ;)

btw No one's mentioned Paul Cook recently but he's doing a sterling job at Wigan. I'd imagine there are one or two Chairmen at bigger clubs becoming aware of him.

I was worried about Swansea and felt the Rovers could come a cropper , although I always find it difficult to predict a defeat - perhaps it's a loyalty thing , so opted for 0 -0

Now we’ve a competitive prediction league on the go ( thanks WB ) it’ll have to be head over heart from hereon in

Baggies 2

Famous Blue and White Halves 0

I can’t stand the arrogant bastard. I’ve nothing really against Wigan but I hope they crash and burn.
He also has a Dingle connection which adds to my dislike of him . Like you Al I’ve no problem with Wigan but Cook is a nasty piece of work . Great if he’s your team’s manager but if he isn’t, then it’s even more enjoyable to watch him fail .

gonna get an absolute arse shagging with that team...that team to me has a dark forces stench and reminds me of tootenham away where I reckon there was a big bet on rovers not to score

I can only think that Mowbray has picked that lineup to confound Darren Moore, who might have been planning on dealing with Graham’s presence up front and Armstrong’s pace down the wing.
We have no out-and-out centre forward on the pitch.
Does seem strange but perhaps they’ve been practicing something different.
Hopefully it’s a master stroke :)

No out and out striker and certainly no target man. It’s a strange looking team today. Mowbray must intend playing through from the back with Rothewell, Reed, Palmer and Dack in attacking midfield and Conway (why) wide or maybe one of Rotheell, Reed or Palmer wide on the other side? He’s got me puzzled anyway.
I’m interested rather than confident. We just have to hope that Bradley Dack is back to form after some quiet matches.
