Sounds like a dreadful 2nd half. Bringing Nuttall on is a joke (he will probably go and score a hatrick now).

Sounds like Bennett having a stinker.

4-1. Inept and hopeless display.

Can't believe no rothwell .
Rothwell went off against Lincoln after apparently tweaking his groin. Came on today and looked fine though but I guess with international week next week that it was safety first with him (and Dack).

We got stuffed. Why on Earth put Nuttall on? He's just not at the races and probably never will be. It's not his fault but meh!
I watched most of the match on the red button but at the same time I was watching an exiting grand prix on sky go on my laptop so I must admit I didn't give the match my full attention. That second half was so poor that the race was much more appealing and I never even saw any of the substitutions taking place. I was unfortunate enough to see all the Bristol goals though. Our defence was ripped apart and we had no answer. I can't help thinking that it would have been a different match with Dack on the field though.

Wow what a contrast!!
The first half was great entertainment
2nd!! One sided thrashing. Hard to sum up but a couple of observations
Bennett just wasn't a factor at all, his worst performance in a long time (that I've seen)
Bell continues to annoy ME and along with Bennett was our weakest player
Rothwell looked keen and determined, like he was playing for his place which was good to see
Palmer again seemed to have a free roll - but is that what TM sent him out to do? I'm not sure - I think that roll was Armstrongs ( who did ok and would have ripped them apart in div1!!)
Smallwood and Evans were awesome - for 45 mins!!
Raya - mixed performance - his kicking was poor but I do like the fact that his thinking is better than the results - if and when he gets delivery matching ideas he will be haled a hero.
Disagree with Abbey - thought Nyambe played well
A loss was fair, 4-1 wasn't

Missed too many chances ...should of been 3 up
Interestingly I only got to the pub after 30 mins and just in time to see Armstrong miss a good chance when in a 1 on 1 he hit it straight at the keeper instead of across him and inside the far post. I was told that although City could have had two in the first few minutes that we had taken control after Mulgrew scoring to make us 1 up and could have been 3 or 4 up. Palmer in particular having missed a sitter apparently. I said if that's the case we'll get punished. Minutes later after a dodgy free kick and either a poor wall position or a clueless keeper and it's 1-1 . After that we were easily second best for the rest of the match. Disappointing to lose and unbreten recod to such a average team

Watched it delayed, what a terrible second half that was. Looked really good in the first half and should have been two up, too many shots fired directly into their players legs and some bad decisions.

Is the honeymoon over, very soft goals given away.

The nut seems to have lost it, Armstrong had a frustrating afternoon, new lad really picked a bad match to come on.

It was a good undefeated run while it lasted.

And maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but if we had to have a thrashing, I prefer it to be now so TM has time to sort it out.

All about chances.
First half, we made a lot and converted none - even our goal was a freak.
Second half, they made a lot and scored most of them.
Hope the team aren’t too disheartened. We weren’t three goals worse than them.

A setback but that’s all . Didn’t watch it but from reading the informed opinion above didn’t sound like a 4-1 game . We aren’t used to getting beat but in this division , where there are quite a few decent sides , we’ll probably have more away afternoons like this one . I’m sure TM will have them ready for Villa . Hopefully Dack will be back . Winning at home will be crucial this season

Up the Rovers

Reality check today nothing more nothing less we know this is a massively unforgiving league compared to the last one.
Like Al i'm getting a bit annoyed with the Nuttal thing he now seems TM's go to man in the absence of Samuel. Lad can sniff out a goal that's true but there is bugger all else to him and less effective than the often ineffective big Dom.

TMs a good manager but he's a few glaring achiles heels that he can't seem to shake off in regards to some players. He does however usually run out of patience after giving them a fair crack of the whip so I hope that applies to everyone, including the keeper and centre backs.

Best to just write today off as one of those days though and there'll be a few in this league, scant reward for the loyal travellers though.

That's the problem with Raya's type great reflexes etc but often caught out with basic stuff and not so keen to go in when the feet are flying.
Good keeper, still a bit raw though but this is a big step up for him now he made a few rucks early last season so hope it doesn't become a habit in this much better league.

Keepers don't seem to take enough responsibility these days in commanding their centre halves etc, if anyone needs to be vocal on the pitch it's the keeper alongside the captain.
