A damp Tuesday night beckons in Cardiff - and that will be our Carol if Rovers beat her Welsh cousins.
Personally I am struggling to get my creative juices motivated for this match. I came off Ewood on Saturday pleased with the 3 points but also feeling a bit deflated with our performance. I hate that tippy tappy garbage we play at the back, it is an accident waiting to happen and we were just a leek thickness away from shipping 2 silly goals against Millwall due to our suicidal antics.
I even dallied with the idea of going to this game until I looked at the cost. No, I am better going round to my elderly neighbour* to watch her Sky Sports TV, partake of her rhubarb wine, use her electricity and listen to her stories of when she was a babe ’with attitude’ some 50 years earlier.

The Cardiff fans do not have the best of reputations and take after Welsh taffia Labour politicians for being surly, argumentative and corrupt robbing b’astards. But don’t you worry as our very own 1simongarner has been nurturing a new breed of Rovers superfan in the WO1 singing section. Meet Jed who took on the Millwall hoolies singlehanded on Bolton Rd at 5pm on Saturday.

Our very own Carol has, of course, strong links to Wales on the basis of her being Welsh. I took this image of her during our Zoom discussion prior to writing this review as I needed her to confirm she would not be pandering to the Welsh windbags on Tuesday. She responded that whilst she has her heart in South Wales she will never undermine her beloved Rovers. Indeed she has decided to spurn all Welsh men in favour of a poor mite from Lancashire who she loves to get close to and keep warm.

I even mentioned to Carol that I was going to see my ‘Aunty’ Alice next door on Tuesday to watch the game and that I might be force fed some of her tasty Red Ass and be subjected to her recollection of sex in the pantry. Carol has taken pity on me and we are instead going to book into the M65 Junction 4 Travelodge for an evening of Sky TV washed down with Prosecco and a side dish of a Leavers Steak Pie. Carol is going to wear her little red number and I will wear my new nightwear.

The game should be interesting. I will be 100% focussed on the action and hope to see abit of the match as well. My prediction is that Dack will get 2 minutes on the pitch and that Rovers will win 3-0. Luckily big Sam Gallagher has been practising both his sprinting and his goal celebration.
