£300 in normal circumstances cos it's a filthy, anti social practice anyway and £3000 in danger areas as far as I am concerned!
(Yes I know ex-smokers are the worst.)
Cans and even worse bottles too should be reported on a well publicised hot line now that dash cam technology is here. From the end of our lane I walked half a mile either way in Feb and filled two bin bags with discarded cans, bottles, fag packets and discarded food packaging! Even worse just yesterday I rode my bike around the fields and found a bottle (which had contained some odd alcho pop) 10 yards into the field which had obviously been thrown from a passing car. This field is used solely for producing grass silage for the local farm and I dread to think of the damage and suffering this could have caused to livestock next winter if this bottle had gone through the forage harvester!
btw Worst culprits (but obviously they are not alone) for littering the countryside in this way imo being young muslims out for a covert drink but who daren't be caught with empty alcohol and certain food containers in their possession.
