A sad chapter in Europe's history. May we never experience this again.

I can't agree with the treatment Bomber Harris and his men received when europe was at peace. Let's be honest a matter of months later hitlers scientists would have developed an atomic bomb and London would have been the target and he'd have won the war. I must say when I look at London now I wonder if it might be a better country if hitler's nazis had won the war.

That’s quite a statement Drog
However, it is unfair to compare the past Londoner with todays Londoner, right? It’s the same to compare Stockholm ano 1940 and 2023. I’m sure that Stockholm was a better and safer city then.
IF just the WW1 would never have happened. IF the French wouldn’t have had the strong mandate they had after the WW1 when they were allowed to punish the Germans in the way they did.
WW1 was an unnecessary war that unfortunately led to something that was necessary to do and that was to defeat the national socialist and later the communist.
