I'm already suspicious of VAR again.

At 0-0 Hungary rightfully had a goal disallowed by VAR for offside.

Yet Ronaldo's hat trick goal was offside and there wasn't even a VAR check.
What's going on?

Absolutely amateurish penalty from Gareth Bale of all people as he skies one over the bar! I think he went with a 7 iron when he should have taken a 3 iron. Tbh I never like to see a faltering run up.
Wales could be out of sight and 3 or 4 up but for some dreadful wasteful finishing which adds perspective to Italy's victory over them last week.

Apparently he hadn’t scored in twelve internationals so as captain he took the ball for the penalty. To me that’s selfish as he should have given the ball to another player who is in better form. He’s lucky they managed to actually win as it has saved him from a hell of a lot of criticism.

Italy won 3-0 again, I wish I had taken advantage of their 11/1 odds at the beginning of the tournament. Did you watch them Al?

Again (although their recent defensive record can't be ignored) Switzerland weren't up to much as Keane, Neville and Vierra agreed upon. Their defence against the French fwd line might be worth watching should they get paired up.

I have to say the best place 3rd place qualification thing has really taken the edge off a lot of these group games.

I was just looking ahead to the knock out stages and it seems that if we probably win our group we will almost certainly play Germany, France or Portugal in the knock out stage.
If we were to come 2nd in the group we would more than likely play Sweden, Poland or Slovakia in the knock out game.
