TBF, I was one of 7000 when we played Man U at Old Trafford in cup in the 90's. We also regularly had 5-6K home attendances whilst stuck in non-league well before R&R got involved.
As for being expelled from competition in England, really? As a Blackburn supporter, you're rightly proud of your club's status as a founding member of the English Football League. Just as Blackburn has its rich history, Wrexham, founded in 1864, also has a significant heritage in British football. Perhaps not a founding member of the EFL, but we joined the English league system in the early 20th century and has since been a part of it. Yet you think we should be kicked out? Why exactly?
Don’t worry. I have a couple of old mates who are Wrexham fans. Enjoy your day at Ewood. I hope for a great game.

Think of all the extra revenue all the smaller Welsh clubs would get from having the likes of Cardiff and Swansea in town every season. It’s the best move for Welsh football.

Interesting perspective! If we're revisiting historical alignments, perhaps it's only fair to suggest the English could consider 'going back' to their Germanic roots in Europe, leaving the Celtic nations - Wales, Scotland, and Ireland - to form a league of their own. After all, the Angles and Saxons were originally from what is now Germany and Denmark. This way, the Celtic clubs can celebrate their shared heritage in a league of their own. Just a thought in the spirit of historical re-alignment!

Some prince's fire brigade team I believe
So you either weren't formed first or it was a dead heat?
It's a bit like who bought a tele before the BBC broadcast v why did the BBC broadcast at all when no one had a tele?

Perhaps you could also include the likes of Real Sociedad, Santander, Bilbao, Rennes, Nantes and Plymouth in your celtic league and only select players of celtic heritage.

The key distinction lies in the term 'club.' Wrexham FC is recognised as the oldest club because it was formally organised with a structured membership and governance, unlike ad hoc teams that may have existed for single games or short periods. Therefore, while there may have been teams like the Prince of Wales Fire Brigade playing football earlier, Wrexham maintains its status as the oldest football club in Wales due to its formal establishment and continuous existence since 1864.

No thanks. Although I enjoy watching La Liga, I am very happy with Wrexham's place in the English system, unlike you guys who want to see us thrown out. I'm also very happy to be drawn against Blackburn Rovers, as do many on the Wrexham FC forum. It's not the draw we wanted naturally because its very likely you will win and we will miss the opportunity of playing a Premiership club.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a Premiership club, but you'll be delighted to hear that you're getting a Premiership winner!

I don't want to see Welsh clubs thrown out. I'd much rather bin off south coast clubs. We can never beat those for some reason.

As Wrexham didn’t join a league until 1890, who were they playing for 26 years? Mind you I do suppose that Wales is merely the Labour run bit of Western England.

I can't tell you how many people have told me that they are turning their backs on wales over thoughts of a ridiculous speed limit. Drakeford will last long in the memories of the resort towns.

I think you'll find that is mainly in north west wales and Anglesey.

I think you’ll find north west Wales is an extension of Merseyside!

Used to stay in the in-laws caravan on a site near Prestatyn. Regardless of time of year the area was flooded with the scousers!
