Dramatic and farcical end to the final race. I'm left wondering who paid that driver to crash into the wall and skew the final lap?

Mercedes have protested but it's too late and the result will stand. They got the advantage of controversy in the first lap though.
Tough luck Hamilton. Get him stuffed next season.

What a crap sport.
Someone is so far ahead the game is over.
Something happens that is nothing to do with him/her and the game is moved back to level.
Your have to be a halfwit to watch that.
Who cares who won, it's rubbish.

It wasn't moved back to level. I was moved back to advantage Verstappen by a ridiculous decision by the authorities.

It does seem unfair to me when I watched it but there are so many rules in formula 1 that it would confuse anybody let alone me who hasn't watched a full race in many years. Maybe Hamilton has made himself deeply unpopular with his blm stance as well as assorted controversial views.

Drog, I used to think that F1 was a "sport" played by millionaires.
It's actually a "sport" played by drivers that have to supply millions to the team to enable those drivers to earn millions.
In fact, it's not a "sport", it's a means whereby those at the top of the tree maintain their status.

Remind you of any thing else?

Having said that, there are developments in F1 that do (eventually) flow down to the ordinary Joe driving on ordinary roads.

I see the bbc justice for Hamilton campaign is in full force this morning

It was a farce, the race organisers virtually did all they could to pave the way for Verstappen / Dennis / Red Bull and I'd wager this could even end up in the courts.

I hope it does but whatever happens in court Verstappen will still be champion. Not his fault. He was unfairly given the opportunity and would have been foolish not to take advantage. What went on behind the scenes is anybody's guess.

Tell us something new. The richer the sport the more cheating goes on. I wonder how much Masi was back handed?

I'm surprised that Mercedes did not sue Masi and the FIA. It was such an obvious cheat. Clear the track for the Red Bull on brand new soft tyres to piss past the Mercedes on very old worn out hard tyres. Hamilton was several seconds ahead before that crash. The decision stunk to high heaven.

This is the first season for a while that I won't be bothering with F1.
After last season's finale, it's just another corrupt sport in my view.
Shame really because there are some good young drivers getting into the better cars now but Abu Dhabi was such an obvious fix.
Any sport that can remove such a big advantage from one participant and reset to all square needs to look at its rules anyway.

And make it stick! I wouldn't be surprised if that bugger didn't crash on purpose.

I'll still be watching but have admit that the decision on the last race absolutely stank. Verstappen despite his bravado must realise that his championship is a hollow one that has never been accepted by any right thinking fans.
